Wow! Thank you for introducing us to this Blue Lake in Mount Gambier. Its intense blue color is truly extraordinary. I love the tranquility of the place, ideal for walks and relaxing moments immersed in nature. At least from the photos and your story, this seems to be evident. From a little research I did online, the intense color of the Blue Lake is due to a combination of physical, chemical, and environmental factors. The lake water is extremely clean and free of particles. Light absorption is a physical phenomenon that plays a key role in the color of this lake. Water absorbs red and yellow wavelengths more, while reflecting blue ones. The clearer the water, the more evident this effect becomes. Great post, and thanks again for showing us this beautiful place.
