ENGLISH CONTENT
Hello to all the members of this community, lovers of crafts and collages! This morning I woke up super tired after the bazaar I attended as a vendor yesterday. I could have taken the day off to rest after my efforts the day before... but I didn't feel like doing that, haha. Instead, I wanted to do something relaxing like drawing or making a collage, ultimately choosing the latter. Since I didn't have a theme in mind, I thought it would be ideal to dedicate it to femininity, taking advantage of the fact that today is Mother's Day.
With that in mind, I began going through my magazine clippings, looking for photographs and images of women in different situations. I found some elegant faces and poses. I wanted to represent that women, despite their differences in personalities and tastes, share that feminine essence that is part of their nature.
First, I did a test run to see where each of the pieces could go. This was mainly to determine if I would use them all, or if it was possible to discard some images or, conversely, find more.
Once that was done, I started gluing each cutout with school glue. I used one of the sheets from my sketchbook that I had already used for another collage on the back. I'm thinking of doing that with all the sheets to save paper and have a sketchbook with twice as many projects.
I had stopped thinking about it that way, but it seemed too simple. Then it occurred to me to look through magazines for some words and phrases that would go with the composition, and I found some really good ones like: "...I saw the most spectacular woman I had ever seen in front of me", "...synonymous with elegance and good taste", or "...a chameleon-like woman who one day could be flirtatious and daring and the next manly and irreverent"... I loved them 💕
Once I glued these phrases on, I used my markers to draw a few colorful lines over the cutouts. I really liked the result ✨

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad, amante de las manualidades y de los collages! Esta mañana me levanté súper cansada, luego del bazar al que asistí como tienda el día de ayer. Podía haberme tomado el día libre para descansar por mi esfuerzo del día anterior... pero no tenía deseos de hacer eso jaja en cambio, quería hacer algo relajante como dibujar o hacer un collage, escogiendo al final este último. Como no tenía un tema en mente, pensé que lo ideal era dedicárselo a la feminidad, aprovechando que hoy, es El Día de Las Madres.
Con eso en mente, comencé a revisar entre mis recortes de revistas, en busca de fotografías e imágenes de mujeres en diferentes situaciones. Encontré algunos rostros y poses elegantes. Quería representar que las mujeres, a pesar de ser diferentes en cuanto a sus personalidades y gustos, comparten esa esencia femenina que es parte de su naturaleza.
Primero hice una prueba de dónde podrían ir cada una de las piezas. Más que nada para saber si las utilizaría todas o si era posible descartar alguna imagen o por el contrario, buscar más.
Una vez hecho esto, comencé a pegar cada recorte con pegamento escolar. Utilicé una de las hojas de mi block que ya había utilizado para otro collage en su reverso. Estoy pensando en hacer eso con todas las hojas para ahorrar papel y así tener un block con el doble de proyectos.
Había dejado pensarlo así, pero se me hizo muy simple. Se me ocurrió entonces buscar entre las revistas algunas palabras y frases que combinasen con la composición y encontré unas muy buenas como: "...Vi a la mujer más espectacular que jamás había tenido frente a mí", "...sinónimo de elegancia y buen gsuto" o "... mujer camaleónica que un día podía ser coqueta y atrevida y al otro varonil e irreverente"... Me encantaron 💕
Una vez que pegué estas frases, utilicé mis marcadores para hacer unas cuantas líneas coloridas sobre los recortes. Me gustó mucho el resultado ✨
