Back a few weeks ago as I was approaching 60 for a REP number I was paying a lot of attention to the top of the home page of my blog. Every time I would go to that page I would glance up at the top to see if I had made any progress in reaching that milestone.

One thing that I happened to notice was that I had made 466 posts around then and the quick math in my head told me that I should hit my 500th post somewhere around Christmas Day or Christmas Eve if I continued to make it with posting like I should.
So here we...
So here we are nine days out from Christmas and I will be damned if my home page doesn’t still say 466 as write this Daily Dose for 12/16/18. I guess if I decided to start asking questions about this and why it seems to be stuck someone would just come back and tell me it is just a “cosmetic error” and not really an issue. Have any of you noticed anything similar with your home page?

I know I missed a couple Daily Doses recently and so the number should be shy but I know I have posted plenty between Thanksgiving weekend and today. I guess stopping the counting the number of posts on the Daily Dose might be part of the cost reduction process for Steemit Inc and steemit.com. I can’t see that one post per day and adding one tally to the total number would save much but what the hell do I know. That tally counter might be the most expensive piece of the puzzle on the blockchain.

Here is where these other “plug ins” or other programs like Steem World come in helpful and I am beginning to trust what I see coming from them more than I do the mother ship of Steemit.
I will say...
I will say that when I refresh my blog home page for a brief second or two before the 466 number shows up it does show 7,222 post and I believe that number is the combined total of actual posts and comments I have made since I have been on here. That 7,222 does actually add up with what Steem World shows for me too when you add the 491 posts with the 6,731 comments I have made.

So maybe it is just a “cosmetic” error but I hope they get that damn thing working before Christmas or Christmas Eve since I will probably have the title of the Daily Dose mention it as my 500th post and people will look at the home page and see 466 and think I am crazy. The fact is I might be crazy but I hope people couldn’t point to that as the reason to believe I am, I surely know 466 from 500. Thirty four.
Is "blockchain"...
Is “blockchain” one word or two? I have seen it written both as “blockchain” and “block chain” so just what is the correct way to write that so I don’t keep making a mistake with that term. I have a really old computer that wouldn’t recognize several new words with the spell check program that is in it this old Microsoft Windows 7 and I would like to at least get that term correct.

I have adopted a couple of my own words as you folks know on here with guzbuck and upVote. I get red lines under each of those each time I type them. I also know plenty of people combine “up” and “vote” to form “upvote” and so if you are wondering how I claim “upvote” as my own word I don’t. I claim “upVote” with the capital “V” so there is some emphasis on the “vote” portion of the word. There is no question that guzbuck originated from the Daily Dose so no need to even explain that one.
Today is Sunday...
Today is Sunday and this Daily Dose is well past what has been the normal posting time for Daily Doses and if I don’t wrap this up right now it will end up cutting into mine and Blondie’s morning church services on TV and with these damn smart TV’s old pastor Joel might know I would be sliding in late to church services, they can watch you. You know that right?
