I came on vacation in Montenegro, for a short time, but that's why I make the most of every day... I went for a walk, and visited several beaches...
One walk was to look for the fortress,Tabija....
"The information we obtained during the preparation for the tour tells us that Tabija is a Turkish fortress from the 19th century, built in 1862 on Goli Brdo....
.. Together with the Haj-Nehaj fortress, which is located on top of the hill at the entrance to Sutomore from the direction of Petrovac, it served as a defensive Turkish border line...
After the Berlin Congress, Tabija fortress belonged to Austria-Hungary, as well as Haj-Nehaj fortress. The word tabija comes from the Arabic language and the general meaning is a cannon fortification or a scouting post."

This quote is just to bring you closer to the age of this building, which is still in traces, it has lost its appearance but has retained the spirit of antiquity in all its foundations...
When I went up, it was clear to me why it was built there...
A clear view in all directions...
Whenever I visit such old buildings, I imagine how people lived then...joyed, grieved, fought.....
That stone could tell so much...
How many people have passed through those paths and roads.... How the stone is polished after so many passages....
As I walked through the ages, the sun slowly set, leaving a glow...
The view towards the open sea is breathtaking...
When the sky started to darken, I slowly descended to the town of Sutomore.
I hope you enjoyed...🥰
