Hello splinter boys and girls living in the Splinterverse, hope you all are enjoying the recent pump in Splinterlands assets which is a clear sign of the bright future of the game! The crashing market is going to end in the Splinterlands soon or later. I am also very satisfied to be one of the Splinterlands believers because my Portfolio of the game assets like my card collection has started increasing again and already it has grown around 30% from $1300 to $1700 now which is a solid growth after such a tremendous drop! This can be predictable when the overall crypto market will enter the next bull season, the Splinterlands assets will be multiple times of the current value for sure.
During yesterday's town hall, the team finalized the requirement of SPS staking for the ranked battle leagues instead of CP which is going to be an immersive move for the total game economy of the game. This announcement has already made the upper movement of the SPS value and I think the value is not going down anymore. And also the amount of staking SPS will surpass the available SPS in liquid and there will be more shortage of the SPS and the price gonna increase more as the implementation time comes closer!
The upward movement is finally here after a couple of years of dumping trend of the SPS price. Though the price of the SPS has lost a lot more than many other cryptos in the running crypto winter Splinterlqnds is still at a very strong point in comparison to many blockchain games which were more popular in the mainstream media and among the whales and crypto community. Games like Axie Infinity, ILLUVIUM have been almost destroyed with such a massive adoption and their tokens were at the top position once. Also, numerous pumping and dumping games like Cryptoblades, and Thetan Arena has completely destroyed and their users are just fed up. But for Splinterlands, the players are always playing and they are more active than before and expecting a lot of positive sentiment which is really an amazing fact about Splinterlands!
Increasing SPS price vs Dumping Cards price and the BOTs Trio
Now the most important observation is to see the impact of the changes on the total game economy. It is crucial to eliminate and promote one asset by de-promoting the other one. But in the case of BOT farming, the situation will be really bright for the genuine players! Also my concern is as the following points-
The complete replacement of CP is not acceptable for keeping the cards in a stronger position! especially the weak cards will be in danger and people has the only thing to do is to burn them!
I prefer balancing in CP and SPS staking by making the ranked battle with both requirements just not only staking SPS but also the CP. these two can come along for more effectiveness in the game economy.
To make downgrade the BOTs-farming the CP requirement with SPS staking will be more effective and the asset value will be more sustainable in this way.
Time to buy SPS
And so I have started buying more SPS nowadays as my staking SPS is very negligible! Though it is not clear about the required number of SPS for the respective league, I can say that the requirement must be higher to make the SPS more valuable. As player, there are several things to remind before purchasing the SPS at a climbing price for the following concerns-
The LP rewards will be available and the demand will definitely increase.
But from the 3 B supply only less than 1 B supply is available now so inflation is still on the way.
So, aggressiveness in buying at a high price will be a foolish idea, let the situation be cool.
But for now, the price is at the bottom so you can buy as much as possible.
The card price will be down for the initial and the burning of cards will also increase, so the price will ultimately increase in the long run. So don't sell cards to buy SPS!
