Early morning blues on Popes Island

Some recent shots from an early morning walk on Popes Island, a small Island between New Bedford and Fairhaven MA, has a few shops and a couple of marinas which is what I will focus on in this post.

As you can see from the first photo it was pretty dark when I first got there, all these photos were taken with my camera on a tripod and fairly long exposures. for this next shot I could probably have gone closer to the water, but I was literally fumbling around in the dark so I was being cautious

These are the same boats as in the first photo but the light was slowly coming up and you can see them clearer in this image.

I had taken this walk mainly because i had not been out for many walks and wanted some fresh shots for a Wednesday walk post, but ended up getting another walk in that I ended up using for that, so instead these are just in this morning blues post.
I think slowly were going to see the temps moving up and staying above freezing point soon, so looking forward to that and getting out for more early morning walks

This next shot you may think the light was fully out, but thats the effect of a long exposure 46 seconds in this case capturing more light and enough detail I could boost up the brightness a little

I found something quite calming about the view in this next images, perhaps a combination of the blues and reflections

I did plan to have more photos in this post as I took a few more after this last one coming up, but as I was preparing this post, I realized I had not merged and edited the remaining photos from that morning walk, so mayby that will lead to a part two post from this walk sometime
