Welcome and congratulations on your first post.
First off, like the first post, but as a newbie on Hive I'll give you a couple of tips that hopefully help you a bit on Hive.
First: Images are great. But if you use them you have to source them of the can start coming by. A simple "Created with Dall-e" under the image or "Image is mine" work. If you use something you find on the web best to make sure it isn't copyright and source the author (send me a message if you need to do that I can help)
Second: It was a bit short. Most of the curation accounts won't curate unless it is over a certain word count. I personally aim for 500 words and two images but depends on the post :)
Third: Personal ideas help a lot. Sure you mentioned some pro's and con's of each side but how about a personal story?
Which one would you prefer and why? If you wanted to do something for your parents which one would they prefer?
Fourth: Find a community or two to frequent. For example there is the Silver Bloggers community which is a bunch of older people like me who may resonate with the post a little better. Or perhaps a travel community would be a good fit. Finding a community makes it easier to find likeminded people, easier to get upvotes and easier to enjoy being on Hive. Highly recommended :)
Finally:
Often it is best to start out with an introduction post. Put it in your main blog and include an image of yourself and tell about what you love and what makes you tick.
When someone reads your article, if they like it they will often check out your profile and see if you are the kind of person they would like to chat with or follow. If there isn't any BIO it makes it hard for them to know who you are and what you stand for.
Just my quick version. Look forward to seeing more from you in the future.
Side note: The Great Little Dragons community is one I am starting up. It's whole reason for being is to take new users (Little Dragons) and try to raise them up to be better Hive users and more financially successful people using Hive as a starting resource.
Oh yeah.... Final note. When writing an article if you add a name of a person with an "@" sign they will get a notification that you wrote an article. So, if you write in an article I'll know you wrote it and come by to take a look :D
