❣️Hello friends of hive!❣️
Today I have the pleasure of joining the team's initiative called "Coffee Conversation #5: Which is the best coffee producing region and why? What are some of the qualities and characteristics associated with that region?
Venezuela par excellence is a good coffee producer, for me the taste of Venezuelan coffee is incomparable, there are many brands of coffee that I have always looked for on the shelves of supermarkets. When the economic crisis began here in Venezuela, we were all affected in one way or another, I remember that we used to stand in long lines to get basic necessities because they were always scarce, this included coffee, many times I was left without buying it because it ran out and just imagining myself without coffee in the morning was a catastrophe for me.
In all this time I have tasted countless flavors of coffee, but I can say that those harvested in the east of my country, specifically in Las Lagunas and San Lorenzo in the state of Sucre and in Caripe in the state of Monagas, are of excellent quality. Las Lagunas is located in the Montes municipality of the state of Sucre, a mountainous area located at an altitude of 1,005 meters above sea level. The coffee grows in the shade of other trees, protecting it from the sun during the dry season and the low temperatures. It is difficult to access, the coffee is brought down in mules or rustic carts due to the poor access road, coffee is only harvested and sold in beans. There is also San Lorenzo that cultivates it, they do the whole coffee process, they dry it on the roads or mountains on top of tarps, this work is done daily in the mornings and at dusk they pick it and it takes several days in this process. Then it is threshed, which is to remove the husk and then it is roasted and ground and distributed in grains or ground, which makes it a product of quality and excellent aroma. In this town there are many artisan mills and threshing machines.
On one occasion my husband decided to sell this artisan coffee, he traveled all over San Lorenzo looking for good coffee beans, he selected the ones that were well dried, to send them to be threshed and then roasted and ground, the good lovers of this product were waiting for him to buy it because of the quality of the artisan coffee, but with such an unstable economy he stopped selling it because of the high prices of it. I believe that each coffee bean has a story, from the person who harvests it to the consumer who enjoys a cup of good coffee in the morning when he/she wakes up.
Grateful to the creators and the community of #Cinnamon Cup Coffee , For this initiative. I invite
