Summary of what I learnt from the teachings of brother Eli on our Bible study held on Zoom
The Bible has proven itself authentic if we look around us we will see how much people have interest in the Bible all over the world. It is the most sold book on earth.
Deuteronomy 18:22
When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
Things predicted before they come to reality is called prophecy.
The prophets in the Bible are of the Lord and that's why their prophecies came to pass.
The Bible predicated the war in Jerusalem before it came to pass. And it happened exactly as predicted. There are books more ancient than the bible,but do not reveal what is written in the bible.
The bible is the only book on earth that predicts the future, has history of things about the past, and tells us things about the present
The Bible is God means of transmitting information to us. About what will happen in the future, what we should do and not do, what we should be depart from etc
The bible speaks and it comes to pass exactly as it was written, that shows that the information came from a reliable source. That is because there is a person that introduced himself as God in the Bible.
Zephaniah 1:8
And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD'S sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king's children, and all such that are clothed with strange apparel.
1 Peter 3:10
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night;in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the workers that are therein shall be burned up.
Daniel 12:4
But thou O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of end: many shall run to and fro,and knowledge shall be increased.
Science and Technology is now the order of the day in our world today.
We are currently living in jet age
There are so many Inventions of a lot of things in the world today which was not existing before.
It is not science that proves the Bible, the Bible proves itself.
The Bible really speaks of the Truth. Jesus Christ said certain things to prove this.
Jesus said a lot of people will call his name. Saying that they are Christ deceiving many. And if we look around us all these are happening.
A lot of persons are being mislead by false prophets.
Matthew 24:24
For there shall arise false christ, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that,if it were possible,they shall deceive the very elect.
The Bible is already proving itself because the things written therein are coming to pass.
Predictions or prophesies that do not come to pass is not of God. And anyone who those prophecies comes from is not of God.
