Hello to all friends and members of this community of growth and integral development of
&lotus in this post I am going to share a little of what was that discovery of the connection with nature or rather a rediscovery. Because of the pandemic and the confinement my family and I have been home for a little over two years, my wife and I have two young children 4 and 3 years old and the fear of the virus has kept us with strict compliance with biosecurity rules and among them being locked in our home. Our house is in a small gated community where there are only 20 houses and not all of them are inhabited, we do not have green areas and the reduced common space which is a small park is very deteriorated.
All this isolated us and separated us from that connection with nature, our children only know a few garden plants that we have managed to incorporate in a small space in our house, our eldest son likes and draws attention to everything that is related to plants and with his barely 4 years old he already has his garden tools and watering can because he has a small pine tree and some paprika plants that we have grown and he is in charge of taking care of them, a job that he is very excited about. Our little 3 year old always asks about the animals, especially the birds, I guess they are all very interesting because they can fly and move wherever they want.

This weekend after much thought and with a little flexibility my wife and I decided that it was time to take them to see the sea, during the tour they did not leave the window for a minute and asked for everything they saw, so the half hour trip was a little longer but it was really worth it. Breathing the pure air of nature, seeing the animals they had only seen on TV and especially being in contact with the sand, having the opportunity to feel the different textures, discovering the snails, being able to play barefoot and the warm water of the sea was really a blessing.

For me and my wife it was a rediscovery of how important it is to connect with nature, to let ourselves be carried away by the tranquility of the natural space. We were fortunate that in the lodge and the area where we stayed there were only two families, so we had the beach to ourselves. This experience reminded me how fundamental it is to retake the natural, to have a moment during the week to get away from the routine and especially from the confinement of the big city, to appreciate the stars without the interruption of the lights of the poles or street lamps, to breathe fresh air, to be calm and to listen to your thoughts in the tranquility of nature. This natural connection experience of a weekend allowed us to renew ourselves as they say over there, recharge our batteries and fill us with the positive energy that has the great and good of nature. For the children it was undoubtedly the best experience of these years of life.
