Today I'm going to recommend an anime with a thought-provoking and emotionally profound plot. I imagine many of you are already familiar with it, as it's well-known for its story, values, and messages. This anime premiered in 2014, has 22 episodes, and is set in a romantic drama genre.

SYNOPSIS / SUMMARY:
This is the story of Kousei Arima, a piano prodigy who loses his ability to play after the death of his mother. His monotonous life changes when he meets Kaori Miyazono, an extravagant and vibrant violinist who inspires him to return to music and find joy. Together they overcome their fears and traumas, but Kaori hides a secret that will test their bond.
KOUSEI ARIMA: A CHILD PRODIGY BROKEN INSIDE:
From a young age, Kousei was exhaustively trained by his mother to become the perfect pianist. Kousei's talent is evident and indisputable, but the constant, demanding pressure left a deep emotional mark on him.
When his mother dies, Kousei not only loses his mother, but also his emotional connection to music, the means she used to control his life. This trauma is reflected in the anime, and we can see it... every time he tries to play the piano, the sounds fade away (as if he were sinking to the bottom of the water).
And that's how we initially meet Kousei... living trapped and in a sad way, until Kaori appears, who breaks that silence with her chaotic, imperfect... but soulful music.
KAORI MIYAZONO: A BEING FULL OF LIGHT AND COLOR:
Kaori is a free, spontaneous, and passionate violinist. Unlike Kousei, her playing isn't governed by rules or perfection... she plays to live, feel, and convey emotion.
From the first moment she meets Kousei, she becomes the perfect foil for him... because while he sees fear and technique, she sees freedom and beauty.
However, behind that radiant smile we've all seen and seen, lies a very painful truth: Kaori suffers from an illness that slowly consumes her. Even so, she never presents herself as a victim; she always presents herself as a very strong person, choosing to live intensely and without giving up.
THE BOND BETWEEN OUR PROTAGONISTS:
This connection or relationship between Kaori and Kousei goes beyond a simple romance... Kaori becomes a spark that awakens Kousei's dormant and fearful soul, forcing him to leave his comfort zone, leave behind the shadows of the past, and reconnect with music, but above all, and most importantly... with himself.
In each performance they have together, we see how he slowly begins to release emotions he had suppressed for years. Kaori shows him that perfection means nothing if there is no emotion or feeling... and that every moment of life should be felt, not calculated or planned down to the smallest detail.
On the other hand, Kousei becomes a support or pillar for Kaori. Although we don't immediately learn of his illness because he doesn't admit it, her desire to play with him is what keeps her clinging to life.
I think we see a balance between the two characters here... While one learns to live, the other tries not to die without leaving a trace.
THE APRIL LIE AND ITS OUTCOME:
The title of this anime refers to the big secret or "lie" Kaori told, which was that she pretended to be in love with another boy, when in reality everyone knew she loved Kousei. The reason she chose to maintain this lie was so that he wouldn't have to bear the sadness of her illness and so that he could remember every moment he spent with her with joy.
A devastating and beautiful moment at the same time is when Kousei plays the piano while imagining Kaori, here we understand that she is not completely gone... Kaori lives on in her music, her inspiration, and the new way he comes to see the world. Our Kaori dies, but she manages to leave something of an impression on Kousei: he hears the sound of the piano again... and in that sound, he hears her again.
THINGS I TAKE AWAY FROM THIS ANIME:
A very beautiful message that comes to mind every time I talk about this anime is that there can be people who come into our lives (even if it's just for a brief moment) and transform us forever.
The power of music... it becomes a language of the soul, healing deep wounds that can't be cured with medicine or words. Simply feeling it and accepting the pain... where little by little we understand that it's part of growing up.
I take away the beautiful animation, the tones and the play with each color... the details they have to reflect Kaori's illness and how her "colors" fade while Kousei begins to "shine." They don't mention it directly, but these changes are reflected while watching each episode.
The soundtrack and music are very important; they maintain classic pieces and works... every performance our characters had, and especially when they played, can be filled with emotion.
I highly recommend this anime, because as I mentioned before... this isn't just a music or romance anime, but rather a story about life itself, and what we can learn from it. It's a story that can make more than one person cry (including me), but the emotions we experience when watching this show are wonderful. So, if you're looking for an anime that will touch your heart, are afraid of restarting something you thought was lost, or feel like you have no direction, I recommend watching Your Lie in April.

El día de hoy les recomendaré un anime con una trama llena de reflexión y profundo a nivel emocional. Imagino que muchos de ustedes ya deben conocerlo ya que es muy conocido por la historia, los valores y mensajes que nos deja. Este anime fue estrenado en 2014, cuenta con 22 capítulos y su género es drama romántico.

SINOPSIS / RESUMEN:
Es la historia de Kousei Arima, un prodigio del piano que pierde la capacidad de tocar tras la muerte de su madre. Su vida monótona cambia al conocer a Kaori Miyazono, una violinista extravagante y llena de vida que lo inspira a volver a la música y a encontrar la alegría. Juntos superan sus miedos y traumas, pero Kaori esconde un secreto que pondrá a prueba su vínculo.
KOUSEI ARIMA: UN NIÑO PRODIGIO ROTO POR DENTRO:
Desde pequeño, Kousei fue entrenado exhaustivamente por su madre para ser el pianista perfecto. El talento de Kousei es notorio e indiscutible, pero fue tanta la presión exigente y constante que dejó en él una profunda marca emocional.
Cuando su madre fallece, Kousei no solo pierde a su madre, sino también la conexión emocional con la música, el medio que ella usaba para controlar su vida. Este trauma se refleja en el anime y podemos observarlo... cada vez que intenta tocar el piano, los sonidos se apagan (Como si se hundiera en el fondo del agua).
Y así es como conocemos inicialmente a Kousei... viviendo atrapado y de una manera triste, hasta que aparece Kaori, quien rompe ese silencio con su música caótica, imperfecta... pero llena de alma.
KAORI MIYAZONO: UN SER LLENO DE LUZ Y COLOR:
Kaori es una violinista libre, espontánea y apasionada. A diferencia de Kousei, su manera de tocar no se rige por las reglas ni la perfección... ella toca para vivir, sentir y transmitir emoción.
Desde el primer momento en el que se encuentra con Kousei, se convierte en el contraste perfecto para él... ya que mientras mira miedo y técnica, ella ve libertad y belleza.
Sin embargo, detrás de esa sonrisa radiante que todos conocemos y hemos visto, se esconde una verdad muy dolorosa... Kaori padece de una enfermedad que la consume lentamente. Aún así, ella nunca se presenta como una víctima, ella siempre se presenta como una persona muy fuerte y elige vivir siempre con intensidad y sin rendirse.
EL VÍNCULO DE NUESTROS PROTAGONISTAS:
Esta conexión o relación que hay entre Kaori y Kousei va más allá de un simple romance... Kaori se convierte en una chispa que despierta el alma dormida y temerosa de Kousei, lo obliga a salir de su zona de confort, a dejar atrás las sombras del pasado y a reencontrarse con la música, pero sobre todo y más importante... consigo mismo.
En cada presentación que tienen juntos, se ve cómo él empieza a liberar poco a poco emociones que había reprimido durante años. Kaori le demuestra que la perfección no significa nada si no hay emoción o sentimento... y que cada instante o momento de la vida debe ser sentida, más no calculada o planificada hasta el más mínimo detalle.
Por otro lado, Kousei se convierte en un soporte o pilar para Kaori. Aunque no conocemos su enfermedad de inmediato ya que no lo confiesa, su deseo de tocar con él es lo que la mantiene aferrada a la vida.
Creo que aquí apreciamos un equilibrio entre ambos personajes... Mientras uno aprende a vivir, el otro intenta no morir sin dejar huella alguna.
LA MENTIRA DE ABRIL Y SU DESENLACE:
El título de este anime hace referencia al gran secreto o "mentira" que decía Kaori, el cual era que fingía estar enamorada de otro chico, cuando en realidad todos sabían que amaba a Kousei. La razón por la cual eligió mantener esa mentira fue para que él no cargue con la tristeza de su enfermedad y para que él pudiera recordar cada momento que pasó con ella con alegría.
Un momento devastador y hermoso al mismo tiempo es cuando Kousei toca el piano mientras imagina a Kaori, aquí entendemos que ella no se fue en su totalidad... Kaori vive en su música, su inspiración y la nueva forma que él logra ver el mundo. Nuestra Kaori muere, pero logra algo dejar una huella en Kousei, él vuelve a escuchar el sonido del piano... y en ese sonido, vuelve a escucharla a ella.
COSAS QUE ME LLEVO DE ESTE ANIME:
Un mensaje muy bonito que se me viene a la mente cada vez que hablo de este anime es que pueden existir personas que llegan a nuestra vida (Así sea un momento breve) y transformarnos para siempre.
El poder de la música... llega a ser un lenguaje del alma para sanar heridas profundas que no se cura con medicina o palabras alguna. Simplemente en sentirlo y la aceptación del dolor... donde poco a poco entendemos que es parte del crecimiento.
Me llevo una animación muy preciosa, los tonos y los juegos con cada color... los detalles que tienen para reflejar la enfermedad de Kaori y como sus "colores" se van apagando mientras Kousei empieza a "brillar", no lo mencionan de manera directa pero se refleja mientras se ve cada capitulo estos cambios.
La banda sonora y la música es muy importante, mantiene piezas y obras clásicas... cada presentación que tenían nuestros personajes y sobre todo cuando tocaban pueden llenar de emoción.
Recomiendo mucho este anime, ya que como mencioné anteriormente... este no es sólo un anime de música o romance, sino sobre la vida misma y que podemos aprender. Es una historia que puede hacer llorar a más de uno (Incluyendome), pero los sentimientos que podemos obtener al ver esta obra es algo maravilloso. Así que si buscas algún anime que llegue a tu corazón, sientes miedo de volver a empezar algo que pensaste perdido o sientes que no tienes rumbo alguno, te recomiendo ver este Your Lie in April.
