Hello Hive Pets Lovers, nice to meet you. Keeping animals as pets is a fun hobby. Seeing cute animal behavior can entertain us and relieve fatigue after work or going through routines. there are even some animals that can hear the complaints of our hearts and seem to understand to comfort our sad hearts.
I will tell you about my experience raising domestic chickens / native chickens from Indonesia.
in mid-February 2021, I bought a pair of hen at the traditional market. I bought this chicken at a chicken slaughterhouse, because I saw the beautiful feathers, I became interested in raising this hen. at the chicken slaughterhouse, female brooders are valued at 50,000 rupiah per kilogram. after being weighed it weighs 1.7 kilograms and I have to pay 85,000 rupiah (USD.6.07).
The hen I bought is incubating now, in a year she can lay 4 eggs and incubate the eggs until they hatch into chicks (it takes 21-25 days) for the hen to incubate her eggs.
When hungry, the hen will look for food and when she is full she will return to incubating the eggs.
for the male I bought a rooster kate/his body is not too big but has beautiful feathers. I bought it for 75,000 rupiah (USD. 5.35).
I don't know how many chickens I have now, because I let my chickens live wild. I also don't build cages for my chickens, because chickens that are allowed to live freely in nature will have more beautiful feathers (according to my experience), my pet chickens live in trees in my garden. take a look at my feathers, they look beautiful and shiny.

This brown chicken has a sturdy body unlike his father who has a tiny body.
But the other children have small bodies like their father.
I like the orange and red colors that decorate his body
they look dashing with bright orange and red feathers.
These chickens look the same, even though they are different chickens (because they come from the same parents) so these chickens are very similar.
Because I don't give special food to my pet chickens, so the chickens find their own food in the garden.
I give the leftovers that are not finished to these chickens. when I wash the dishes, I will collect the leftover rice and side dishes for my chicken.
These chickens already know when it's time for me to wash the dishes, so they will gather in the drain that carries leftover food
nature always gives the best for us, the warm sunlight makes my pet's fur much more beautiful, the brown is lighter, the red is more shiny and the orange is sharp.
