So, I stumbled upon something very interesting today on steemit.
It all started a couple of hours ago, I was just trying to figure out how to get my posts to end up in the trending section like every minnow/dolphin food does. My search lead me to an article on steem in which a very talented writer presented a detailed analysis report on the subject. That was how I discovered 
Naturally, I ran a check on him and was really impressed. I asked myself how I could be a part of all the people he's helping because he seems to be a generous guy. I saw something that made me curious, one of the people he was corresponding with was trying to get him to check out a link to a steemit jet project he was working on.
Next, I googled steemjet. EUREKA!!!
I had discovered something amazing. THE STEEMJET INITIATIVE.
Their mission, long story short, is to promote steem globally and to help people in want in the process. After reading their mission statement, the first thing that came to mind was
I'M HOME.
I am in synergy with the Steemjet initiative.
I'm just 14days old in steemit and in my introduce yourself post, I mentioned that my mission on steemit was to help build and grow the steemit community. I BELIEVE IN STEEMIT AND THE STEEM BLOCKCHAIN. Steemit is helping people dig themselves out of poverty in parts of the world where people live In hardship and the fact that steemit isn't celebrated is just wrong.
I want to help grow steem because I believe that the bigger it gets, the more people it can help.
I will use myself as proof of concept. I started in steem 14days ago with $0(zero cash). Fast forward 14 days, I have earned approximately 1SP and a little under 0.5 steem, all within the community without having to bring in outside money. I know its not a lot but I can honestly say that I am better off today than I was 14days ago. I wonder where I will be in the next 14days. With my luck, if steemit can take me from zero to something then it can do so for others.
But much to my surprise, when I talk to people here in my community, many don't have a clue what steem or steemit is. That has to change.
I want to help bring about that change.
With that said, I want to present an idea that I have for a project. In my country Nigeria, we have a big problem in the ecommerce space, people don't trust each other. The implications are damaging to online trade.
I want to offer a solution in form of a third party escrow service powered by steem.
If we can create and introduce something like that into the Nigerian market, it will ease ecommerce transactions and increase the popularity of steem within Nigeria.
I would have started this project a long time ago but I don't know how to code. I need to hire developers. If this is the type of project that you are looking for then I need the kind of support that steemjet has to offer
