Prelude
Hello everybody, how is it going? Everyday in Splinterlands is a new discovery and also to further refine our skills to fight better and to pick the right card for each fight according to the mana cost and the rule set. Today, I will be sharing on a battle which involve the card, Revealer. This is a new reward card that was introduced alongside the likes of Tide Biter, Countess Sinash and Venator Kinjo.
Thoughts on Revealer
From the name goes, this card to me is like a wizard whom reveals terror into your mind as it torments you from within and secure victory for his master.
Without further a do, let's get started with this week's sharing.
Let's look at the Level 1 base stats for Revealer:
| Mana | Attack | Health | Speed | Armour | Ability |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4 | 1 (Magic) | 4 | 2 | NA | Stun |
Bronze League - Health + 1
Silver League - Attack + 1
Gold League - Health + 1, Immunity
Beyond Gold - Reflection Shield
What does Revealer looking on growth?
At level 1, the stun is really good. There are not many cards with stun at level 1 until recently when Rift Watchers is introduced, more cards with stun abilities appear.
Nevertheless, Revealer holds a decent stat of 4 health and as it levels up, it gains more protection such as immunity against poison or reflection shield against those nasty blast from Yodin etc.
To me, this card packs in a lot of goodies and as it levels up, it enhances its survivability when playing a higher leagues making it still relevant for gameplay.
Alritey, let's see start the battle sharing.

- Position 3 - Uraeus
- Position 4 - Meerdali Guardian
- Position 5 - Angelic Mandarin

Prediction before pressing rumble
A very different lineup being chosen this time. Kinda weird to see my opponent using some range cards when the ruleset is against it. Let's get it on!
Let's get ready to rumble
Round 1, Not a very good start, my Uraeus got taken out within this round but Revealer landed a stun on my opponent Xenith Monk.
Round 2, My opponent sneak attackers really doing a good combo, Bandit then Uraeus which took out my Spirit Hoarder. With opponent Xenith Monk stunned, it become a sitting duck and got taken out. Revealer lands another stun on Pelacor Bandit.
Round 3, Both Pelacor Bandit and Uraeus fell to the magic attacks. Guess what, yet another stun landed on Merdaali Guardian by Revealer.
Round 4-6 were like picking up the scraps and taking out the remaining range monsters and securing the victory.
After Thoughts
3 stuns in 3 rounds by Revealer really disrupts my opponent max. Never underestimate stun ability, cards that can heal or do massive damage just halts for a turn. Imagine, if stun happens again and cards miss a second turn. The 3 stuns, broke my opponent defence while allowing my cards to freely do damage from afar.
Did my strategy work in this game? Little league match, hence I placed all my utility cards into the lineup. Xenith Monk with the heal to hold the front, Life Sapper and Venari Bonesmith to soak up damage and grow in health to become secondary tanks should Xenith Monk fall. Then there is always Spirit Hoarder to heal up the backline if any card is being damaged. Uraeus with sneak and also 1 armour to take one backline hit.
Will I be using such a lineup in the future? For little league, this lineup that I fielded has been rather consistent and serving well for me. Some slight tinkering is needed if unable to use Legendary card and Spirit Hoarder will be replaced by Soul Strangler.
Utility cards are important in a game and at times can be game changing when applied properly. A stun landing in time can disrupt opponent's gameplay and even allow our own lineup to do sufficient damage to remove a tank or an ability giver to help secure victory. Do consider a mix of cards in lineups, some damage dealer and some disablers so that to bring in more match wins!
Revealer has been an instrumental card in my lineup and I am looking to upgrade it to make it stronger and gain more abilities. If you haven't own a copy of it, I hope the daily/end of season chest drop you one soon and also do consider getting more copies of it to level it up. Something to think about when in Noxious Fumes ruleset, an immune card that can stun and cause your healing cards to fail and end up seeing casualty, that is one card you should field in those situations.
