I hope you all had a great weekend?
Our weekend was fully packed with things to do in and around the house.

Our TV is a flatscreen hanging on a wallmount. I had the idea of putting the cables trough the wall and all the TV equipment (settop box etc) in the corridor so you won't see any cable on the wall. I have doubt a long time before actually drilling the hole into the wall because I was afraid to wreck the wall without the proper result, but finally managed to overcome my fear and started drilling :)
It's not finished yet but I must admit it already looks awesome. Pictures will follow soon.
In our backyard we still had a lot of wood from the building of the gardenhouse. We will use it to burn the fireplace in the garden but we had to sort it and put it away on a dry spot. It immediately created some more space in our garden.

Last thursday we received a little note in our mailbox from on of the neighbors. He wanted to celebrate his 20th birthday and pre-warned us that it could be a bit noisy. I thought that was very great of him to warn the neighbors in advance so people knew what went on and could adjust to that. I wished him a great party and told him that we weren't that difficult people and that we wouldn't complain of him having a party with some music.
The opposite was on saturday. Our oldest son was invited to a party across the street, two girls throwed a party because of their birthday. It was in the house of one of the girls who lives on the other side of our street. When my son went to the party my wife and I sit in the livingroom and already heared a lot of noise outside, but just with the other neighbor we thought that throwing a party should be possible for those kids. When I wanted to walk te dog I walked outside and heared kids really screaming there lungs out on the music.
When I walked passed out Hedge I noticed a lot of wet spots at our hedge. Turned out that a lot of the guys on the party went to our hedge to take a leak in stead of going to the toilet. The urinated all over our hedge. I was not amused. (it turned out that there were about 70 teenagers on the party in a normal house with one toilet, so I did understood the urge of the kids but not the behaviour of doing it in someone's garden.)
About 23.00 hour there were a lot of teenagers, drunk, in out street demolishing a lot. I went outside to ask them to stop, but I also knew I didn't had much to tell to +30 teenagers while I was alone. I did wondered why the parents of the girl who organised the party weren't outside to manage the kids. I would have been if it was a party of our kids, and I wouldn't let it get out of control like that. They even tried to break a lightpole ....
The next day I cleaned our hedge and didn't see any of the parents of the party to clean the street.... It was a real example of disrespect to the neighborhood if you ask me...
Well, have a great monday !!!
Cheers,
Peter
