Hey, how's it going, everyone? A few days ago, I took a trip to the beach—specifically to Puerto Cabello—and after spending the whole day at the beach, we decided to visit the historic district. This area has been restored and is known for its bright facades, as well as its wooden balconies and doors; the original stonework has been preserved, giving it that old-world, colonial charm.

Hace unos días hice un viaje a la playa específicamente a Puerto cabello y luego de pasar todo el día en la playa decidimos ir al Casco histórico, esta zona ha sido restaurada y es caracterizada por sus fachadas brillantes además de sus balcones y puertas de madera, el sueño de piedra original lo que mantiene y da ese valor antiguo y colonial
In addition to noticing that there are now several businesses there—which makes it even more appealing, including ice cream shops, cafes, and restaurants—we also stopped by the Herrera House Historical Museum, where the ladies at the entrance welcomed us warmly. I understand there’s a lot to see there, but unfortunately, since we were from out of town and it was getting late, we had to make it a quick visit and head straight to what we really wanted to see.
Además de notar que actualmente existen varios negocios lo cual lo hace aún más atractivo, heladerías, café, y restaurantes, también pasamos por el Museo histórico la casa de Herrera, donde te reciben con una amabilidad las chicas de la entrada, tengo entendido que hay muchísimo por conocer allí pero lamentablemente al ser de otra ciudad por la hora tuvimos que dar una visita rápida y fuimos a lo directo que queríamos conocer
The glass floor was what caught my attention the most, and of course I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to walk across it or not. My mom couldn’t do it, and my daughter did it—she was scared, but she did it. We got some really nice photos, and the people there are truly kind. Then we went to the viewpoint where the flag of my Venezuela was flying; it’s a terrace-style spot. This one is a bit more intimidating, but it still feels like an accomplishment, and it was really nice to take in the scenery, the sea, and feel the breeze.
El Piso del vidrio eran las cosas que más me llamaban la atención y obviamente tenía la incertidumbre de que si podría caminar o no, mi madre no lo logró y mi hija lo hizo con miedo pero lo hizo, logramos tan lindas fotos y la gente allí es verdaderamente gentil, luego nos fuimos al mirador donde estaba la bandera de mi Venezuela y es estilo terraza, esta si da un poco más de temor pero aun así de logro y fuiste bastante lindo apreciar el paisaje, el mar y sentir la brisa
It was a place that really recharged my batteries, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Even though it’s a tourist spot, it wasn’t too crowded that day, so it was quite pleasant to stroll through those colorful streets steeped in history.
Fue un lugar que me recargo de mucha energía y es un ambiente totalmente familiar y aunque es turístico ese día no estaba tan concurrido, fue bastante agradable recorrer esas calles tan coloridas llenas de tanta historia
