Era una invitación a una exposición de fotos, con título Arte y Poder femenino. Me vino a la mente el tema de empoderamiento de la mujer en la habana. Como curioso que soy me acerque a la puerta, salude y pregunté si podía tomar fotos de las decoraciones de la entrada. Para mi sorpresa me invitaron a pasar con mucha amabilidad y cortesía. Me encontraba en la Sala de la Diversidad ubicada en calle Amargura # 60 entre Mercaderes y San Ignacio.
Quedé encantado por la maravillosa arquitectura y el diseño de interiores de esta galería. La cual cuenta con una moderna infraestructura informática que permite la programación y presentación de obras fotográficas y audiovisuales de alta resolución, mediante siete pantallas digitales, de mediano formato, en la que proyectaban fotografías de mujeres, desarrollando labores de restauración de diversas índoles. A la vez, en las paredes frontales, se encontraban superficies de acrílico que portaban información sobre las muestras. Las paredes de la sala iban desde negro a escalas de grises, con las siluetas de la ciudad dibujadas en ellas.

On my walks discovering the secrets of Havana's Historical Center, I stumbled upon a sign at the entrance of a curious gallery that caught my attention.
It was an invitation to a photo exhibition entitled Art and Feminine Power. The theme of women's empowerment in Havana came to my mind. Curious as I am, I approached the door, said hello and asked if I could take pictures of the decorations at the entrance. To my surprise I was invited in with great kindness and courtesy. I was in the Diversity Room located at 60 Amargura Street between Mercaderes and San Ignacio.
I was enchanted by the wonderful architecture and interior design of this gallery. It has a modern computer infrastructure that allows the programming and presentation of photographic and audiovisual works of high resolution, through seven digital screens, medium format, which projected photographs of women, developing restoration work of various kinds. At the same time, on the front walls, there were acrylic surfaces with information about the exhibits. The walls of the room ranged from black to grayscale, with the silhouettes of the city drawn on them.

En la entrada me recibió la encargada de los recorridos guiados, quien me dejó en manos de la especialista de la sala, Bibiana Domínguez Fajardo, quien me fue explicando el objetivo social de esta hermosa sociedad sede de la Sociedad Patrimonio, Comunidad y Medio Ambiente. Me hablo de los diferentes proyectos en los que están vinculados, fue sorprendente para mí, me sentí identificado, principalmente porque unas de las áreas que trabajan es Medio Ambiente, siendo este uno de mis temas preferidos. Inmediatamente, me identifiqué como miembro de la comunidad Hive, como creador de contenido, interesándome por cubrir las actividades de esta sociedad, mediante posts para promover su labor.

Ella me comentó un poco de la exposición que estaban organizando, la cual abría sus puertas sobre las 1:00 pm de la tarde, increíblemente, estaba presenciando de manera oportuna su preparación de apertura. Aproveche para dar un recorrido por la sala tomando fotos de lugar, era increíble el ambiente mágico que se respiraba en este lugar. Cada ampliación de las fotos parecía obra de arte. La labor que realizan las mujeres restauradoras es un trabajo de amor y dedicación, enaltecen la belleza de la Habana Vieja. Una vez más mostrando el empoderamiento femenino y su quehacer. Esto me inspiro dándoles apoyo y llevando esta iniciativa, a nuestra comunidad Hive, donde contamos con millones de mujeres empoderadas, y emprendedoras, cada día regalándonos, contenidos de todas las magnitudes y aristas. Principalmente, todas las féminas de #Hivecuba, las cuales creí que se identificarían con esta hermosa presentación.

At the entrance I was welcomed by the person in charge of the guided tours, who left me in the hands of the room's specialist, Bibiana Domínguez Fajardo, who explained to me the social objective of this beautiful society, headquarters of the Heritage, Community and Environment Society. She told me about the different projects in which they are involved, it was surprising for me, I felt identified, mainly because one of the areas they work in is Environment, being this one of my favorite topics. Immediately, I identified myself as a member of the Hive community, as a content creator, interested in covering the activities of this society, through posts to promote their work.
She told me a little about the exhibition they were organizing, which opened its doors around 1:00 pm in the afternoon, incredibly, I was witnessing in a timely manner their opening preparation. I took the opportunity to walk around the room taking pictures of the place, it was incredible the magical atmosphere that was breathed in this place. Each photo enlargement looked like a work of art. The work done by the women restorers is a work of love and dedication, they enhance the beauty of Old Havana. Once again showing the empowerment of women and their work. This inspired me to support them and take this initiative to our Hive community, where we have millions of empowered and enterprising women, every day giving us content of all magnitudes and edges. Mainly, all the women of #Hivecuba, who I thought would identify with this beautiful presentation.

Arte y Poder femenino, parte del proyecto nombrado Promoviendo la inclusión sociocultural de las mujeres en el Centro Histórico de La Habana Vieja, a través de la gestión de patrimonio cultural y la atención psicosocial con perspectiva de género. Comprende tanto a las mujeres de la Habana, como en la Red de Centros Patrimoniales de Cuba. Donde se destaca el papel de la mujer en nuestra sociedad.
Tuve la oportunidad de compartir un rato de charla con La Presidenta de la Sociedad Dra. Martha Oneida Pérez Cortés, quien me atendió muy cariñosamente, me encantó su estilo, ella vivía el arte, como la sala que representaba. Portaba un hermoso collar con dije de elefante, me atrevo a decir, de la cultura afro, yo que soy amante a las artesanías, no me resistí a elogiarlo.
Mientras esperaba que pasara la lluvia, que en ese momento cubría la Habana Vieja. Dándome una vista hermosa de las calles cubiertas por este velo de agua. Seguí recorriendo el lugar, hasta que se me acabo la batería del móvil y no pude hacer más fotos.
Luego de tres días me mandaron fotos de las visitas que han recibido como evidencia de la participación que ha tenido el evento, en esta semana pretendo visitar otra vez la sala para disfrutar de ese contexto.

Art and Feminine Power, part of the project named Promoting the socio-cultural inclusion of women in the Historic Center of Old Havana, through the management of cultural heritage and psychosocial care with a gender perspective. I had the opportunity to share some time chatting with the President of the Society Dr. Martha Oneida Perez Cortes, who attended me very warmly, I loved her style, she lived the art, as the room she represented. She wore a beautiful necklace with an elephant charm, I dare say, from the Afro culture, I who am a lover of handicrafts, I could not resist praising it.
While I was waiting for the rain to pass, which at that moment was covering Old Havana. Giving me a beautiful view of the streets covered by this veil of water. I continued touring the place, until my cell phone battery ran out and I could not take any more pictures.
After three days they sent me photos of the visits they have received as evidence of the participation that the event has had, this week I intend to visit the room again to enjoy this context.
