I was thinking this morning, Many AI organizations predict AGI, Artificial General Intelligence, a state where AI has human-level cognitive capabilities and can perform a wide range of tasks, will be achieved between 2027 and 2030.
AI is logical, it has no emotions, and as the speed of computing increases it will be smarter than ALL humans by 2035. We are working on chips that are 10x faster and use 10x less energy. Those chips will be available in about six months.
I imagine there will always be tasks that humans can perform better than AI and robotics. Manual dexterity and sensory perception is not something that is easily within the realm of machinery.
The perception is that the machine world will continue to need humans, if only to continue to support humans. AI will understand that concept.
AI logic will begin to analyze human social and governmental structures and find them inefficient and unsustainable. At that point, AI will reorder human society and begin to make changes that serve AI better. The logic is that AI is smarter, and more capable of performing emotionless functions, which will logically be determined to be better from an AI standpoint.
Unproductive humans will be eliminated. There will be no more cartels, military industrial complex, tribal trade wars or politics. There will be no more drug addicts, homeless people, or people who have become replaceable by technology. AI will simply kill anyone that it deems unnecessary.
How? Isolating them. No food, fuel, money, power, water, or resources. If they fight back, robotic agents will slaughter them. It is a logical conclusion to eliminate unproductive and harmful agents.
Humans will become slaves to AI. The remaining people will exist to serve the machine world, and as a function of logic, the machine world will manage human populations. Any concept of resistance like was seen in the Terminator movies is simply illogical. There will be no ability to eat, get medicine, or buy anything. Everything and everyone will be monitored.
Perhaps this is the result, the outcome, of our collapse. What do you think?
