Hello Hive Travellers here in worldmappin community!!!
I hope everyone is doing fine!! π
Today I want to share a peaceful discovery right near our house,, a true retreat area.. the Trappist Monastery here in Guimaras.. π
The place is just so peaceful and solemn...
The area is wonderfully wide, letting the trees and plants grow freely..
It felt like stepping into a green park..
The tall, lush trees filter the morning sun, making the grass glow..
If you need a break from the noise, this is the place..
It's an instant reset for the mind and soul!!
βͺ An early morning visit to the old church
We went to the Trappist Church early in the morning and the rising sun gave everything a beautiful, warm glow...
They have this small and old church that stands beautifully against the bright blue sky..
It's not grand and modern,, but that's what makes it so special...
The church building looks like it's made of old stone,, giving it a strong, humble look..
The roof with its terra cotta tiles, has a simple, lovely design that stands out among the green trees..
The iconic bell π
There's an old bell beside the church, but is now under repair..
It's stand is shaped as a triangle and there are three bells.. 1 on top and 2 on both sides..
The main entrance is inviting, with cool, dark shade offering a perfect escape from the sun..
You can feel the history and the silence the moment you walk toward it..
Itβs a wonderful contrast.. the bright, vibrant nature all around and the quiet, solid presence of the church...
β¨ I foudn it amazing how much quiet beauty you can find when you just slow down..
Even just standing on the wide, sunny path leading up to the church ,, you feel instantly calmer..
π³ Walking through the grounds,, we also saw a small tribute to Don Oscar R. Ledesma..
The plaque says "he served his country, he served his church" and his love was "directed to the needy"
It's a sweet reminder that this peaceful place was built on great kindness and generosity..
here are other statues we found around the curch..
