This time I'm not going too far, the picture I bring you today was taken by me while I was staying in Pinar del Río Hotel, which is located in the outskirts of the city. Next to the hotel is the university. The building you see in the picture is the main building of the University of Pinar del Río and to the right you can see the monument for which the university bears its name: Hermanos Saiz (Saiz Brothers). I wish I had a better photo of the monument.
I took the picture from the balcony on the fifth floor, from there the view is amazing, you can also see the start of the National Highway. That was a rainy day, I mostly stayed in my room but when the rain stopped I wanted to take some pictures, I know the blue skies are really beautiful, but I enjoy so much the dark clouds and the smell of rain. I also love that there are a lot of big trees around there.
It's really cool to think that when you are arriving to the city the first two things that you see are the university and the hotel.
