Ensenada Honda a Hidden Paradise in Sucre

Greetings, dear bloggers, to this wonderful community of Worldmappin. I wish all users the very best. It’s wonderful to share my visit to a beautiful beach nestled among the mountains called “Ensenada Honda,” located on the Cumaná–Mariguitar highway in Sucre State, Venezuela. A hidden paradise in the Gulf of Cariaco.

Es maravilloso compartir mi visita a una hermosa playa entre las montañas llamada "Ensenada Honda" ubicada en La carretera Cumaná - Mariguitar, estado - Sucre - VENEZUELA**. Un paraiso escondido en el golfo de Cariaco.

On a beautiful day, I went for a walk with my family around noon; we had planned it the day before, so we stopped by the supermarket to pick up some food, since we were heading to my sister-in-law’s beach house, where we’d be staying and would have access to the kitchen, so we’d be all set to spend a wonderful day in this hidden paradise in the mountains, where the calm, crystal-clear shores captivate you the moment you see them.

En un día radiante, me fui de paseo con mi familia en horas del medio día, habiamos planificado el día anterior, pasamos por el supermercado comprando algunas cosas para comer, pues llegaremos a una casa de playa de mi cuñada, donde nos alojamos y tendríamos acceso a la cocina, así que estaríamos preparados para pasar un día maravilloso en este paraiso escondido en las montañas, dónde las costas tranquilas y cristalinas nos atrapan desde que las ves.

We drove there in our own car and it only took 20 minutes. The sign indicating that we had already entered the area—since the beach isn’t visible from the road—we crossed over and went down the path, and through the vegetation and walls we could already see the coastline inviting us to... It’s a beautiful view, and you can feel the tranquility of the atmosphere, which makes it so therapeutic. We opened the gate, which leads to the beach, and the paths were steep.

Nos fuimos en carro propio y solo tardamos 20 minutos. El letrero indicando que ya estábamos en ese territorio, ya que la playa no es visible desde la carretera, cruzamos y bajamos la vía, y entre la vegetación y muros ya vimos las costas que invitan a... Es una vista hermosa y se siente la tranquilidad del ambiente, pues lo hace tan terapéutico. Abrimos el portón, que da acceso a las cosas, y las vías eran empinadas.

We settled in and began to enjoy the sunny day; the view was picture-perfect. There were stairs leading down to the beach, and there were a few waves, typical for the season. As for the vegetation, it is lush, with many coconut trees, palm trees, flowering plants, fruit trees, and cacti. This place is dotted with many houses, designed by talented architects; they blend in harmoniously with the natural surroundings.

Nos alojamos y comenzamos a disfrutar del día que estaba soleado, la vista como de postal; había unas escaleras para llegar a la playa, había algunas olas por la temporada. En cuanto a su vegetación, es exuberante, con muchos cocoteros, palmeras, plantas florales, frutales y cactús. Este lugar está poblado de muchas casas, diseñadas por talentosos arquitectos; se constituyen en consonancia con el entorno natural.

It’s worth mentioning that, as we take the tour, we come across many panoramic views of the Gulf of Cariaco, as well as numerous houses with a distinctive style featuring wood and thatch roofs, and the crystal-clear waters. Honestly, this is a hidden gem that I’m enjoying for the first time on my visit to this beach.

Cabe mencionar que, además de que mientras damos el recorrido encontramos muchas vistas panorámicas, del golfo de Cariaco y de muchas casas con un estilo particular de madera y caña brava en los techos, también de sus aguas cristalinas, la verdad es que esto es un tesoro escondido que disfruto por primera vez que visito esta playa.

This is a private area, which is why the gate is locked with padlocks—each homeowner has their own key. However, there’s another section of the beach where you’re free to go; you’ll just need to bring your own food and drinks, since there are no vendors anywhere. You can also stay in beach houses for rent, which cost around 100 per day.

Este lugar es privado, por eso tiene su portón con candados, pues cada uno de los dueños de estas casas tiene su llave, pero hay otra zona donde puedes estar libremente en la playa; solo tienes que traer tu comida y bebidas, porque no hay ventas por ningún lado. También puedes alojarte en casas de playa en alquiler que oscilan entre 100 el día

Its small cove, nestled among the mountains, lush vegetation, and crystal-clear, calm waters, offers the perfect setting when you're seeking peace and the experience of being in touch with nature.

Su pequeña ensenada, entre las montañas, vegetación y aguas cristalinas y tranquilas ofrecen un lugar perfecto cuando uscas la paz, y la experiencia de estar en contacto con la naturaleza.

As evening fell, we packed up and left, since there was no electricity in the house, so we plan to come back and visit this beach, where there’s plenty to see and it’s the perfect place to relax. That’s all for now, my fellow adventurers.

Al caer la tarde nos alistamos y nos vinimos, pues no había electricidad en la casa, así que planeamos volver a visitar esta playa, en donde tienes mucho que admirar y refugio perfecto para relajarte. Hasta aquí, mis aventureros.
