Welcome to my new handmade blog. how you been, Is everything okay? I hope all is well. What do you usually do in your spare time? In my spare time, I like to do handmade, DIY, crochet, etc. Making handmade things is fun for me and it relaxes me. And I used to be a kindergarten teacher, so I can do papercraft very well. So I always share about papercraft and handmade on Hive.
These days, I use ribbons to create hair accessories every day. Claw clips are a popular type of hair clip among young people. So I got the idea to make a ribbon claw clip using that claw clip today. When I make hair clips, I like to name them. The clip I made today feels simple and vintage. So I named this clip Simple Vintage Bow. I will tell you about the materials I used first.
Materials-
- ribbon
- claw clip
- scissors
- ruler
- glue gun
- needle and thread
Step-1
Christmas is coming, so when choosing a ribbon, I chose a bling bling ribbon to give it a Christmas vibe. As for the color, I chose gray. I cut the ribbon to the measurements shown above.
Step-2
Then I touched the edges of all the ribbons with a little fire. Doing so is to make the ribbons neater.
Then I folded the ribbons from the middle and slightly touched them with fire. What is done is to make the middle line appear on the ribbon.
Step-3
I chose a ribbon and placed both ends in the middle as shown in the picture. Then I stitched using a needle and thread. After pulling the thread and making a knot, you have a cute little ribbon.
That way I made 3 cute ribbons.
Step-4
I sewed the two largest ribbons together first. Then I needle the middle of the ribbon without cutting the thread. And finally, I sewed it together with the small ribbon that was left.
Step-5
I rolled the 4 inches ribbon as shown in the picture without sewing it. Then I made a knot with that ribbon.
Step-6
In step-6, I glued the ribbon I made in step-4 to the knot I made in step-5. Following those methods, I made another small ribbon.
In the last step, I glued those 2 ribbons to the claw clip.
Now I have a cute Simple Vintage Claw Clip. It's easy to do and doesn't require a lot of time, so if you're interested, you can follow along. I'm trying to share better handmade ways. Thank you.
