For today's Wednesday walk, I will talk about something special. Yesterday, my mom wanted to plan something for her mother (my grandma). She called us because she wanted our help. My mom said that she likes to surprise her mother for her early birthday celebration.
My mom said that she wants us to surprise our grandma by going home to the house, and she must not know about it. Then she would like us to buy her a cake with the message "Happy Birthday, Nanay!" on it. Then she remembered our aunt's past birthday celebration that we didn't get a chance to attend, and our mom wanted to include our aunt's name on the cake.
Wondering why she wants to include the name of her older sister? because our aunt is the breadwinner of their family. She didn't get a chance to celebrate her birthday with us because she and their older brother had a fight because of money last month, and remembering why they fought with each other is making me angry again because I understand the feeling of our aunt because we have the same situation when it comes to money. That's why we agreed to include the name of our aunt on the birthday cake.
Then, after we surprised her, My Mom told us to invite them: My Grandpa, Grandma, and our younger cousin who is living with them in the house to celebrate our Grandma's birthday in the Jollibee. She wants us to eat there and take a picture.
So as what we planned yesterday, we decided to go around 3:00–4:00 p.m. in the afternoon because my sister's boyfriend has a job and he always goes home around that time.
We prepared to go to the nearest Goldilocks place to buy some cake, just like what my mom told us to do. Then after that, we continued our travel to go home to our grandparents' house.
I really like this bridge that enters the La Union. Because every time that we pass by here, the wind is so very refreshing, and it makes me feel as if we are in another country for just a second, like in the telenovelas and movies. Lol
Anyway, when we got home, our grandma was surprised to see us. She didn't know that we would go home, and we saw her cleaning and moping inside our house.
We sang a happy birthday song to her while holding the cake and entering the house. It's not her birthday; actually, her birthday will be on April 27, but my mom wanted to celebrate it early with just us as her daughter, and the surprise is a success because my grandma is happy for what made her surprised.
After taking some pictures, we ate the cake together with our few aunts and uncles who were outside. After eating the cake with them and having a little chit-chat together, we went back inside and told our grandma to prepare because we would be eating at Jollibee with our grandpa and younger cousin. But our grandpa is still not home, and she told us that he visited the farm.
Then, I roamed around, and I saw that they didn't have some coffee, sugar, and other things in the kitchen. Even in the fridge, they don't have much food, and I roam around the surroundings and see that the house is not cleaned, and I wonder, "Is this their life after when I lived with my sister?" Then, my grandma spoke to us, saying that if our mother had money to give her, she would rather use it to pay their electric bill and buy some food for every day rather than go to Jollibee and use it to buy food for just one day. We told our mom what our grandma said, and my mom agreed to just give her the money.
So since we will not go into the Jollibee, we decided to just have a little road trip. We bid goodbye to our grandmother and travel again to go somewhere I don't know where.
I thought that we would go to Baguio City. But my sister pranked me. My gosh! The weather in Benguet is so much colder than in our hometown, and how I wish I lived in Baguio. Huhu
Anyway, the reason we came here is because she wanted to take a picture with me on the bridge.
Do I look pretty here? Don't get excited, because I am not that pretty in person, and that is just a camera's work. Lol
Anyway, after we took a lot of pictures, we decided to eat at Jollibee. My mom told us that, though our grandma didn't go with us, she liked us to go in the jollibee to eat and take a lot of pictures.
I got a chance to take a picture after how many years? Well, I have a reason why I took a picture with Jollibee. Because I like to measure my height if there's a progress but As you can see in the first image, that's not my real height. I just kneeled a little bit and sad to say, there's not even a little improvement in my height. My gosh!
We ordered our food. I was supposed to choose the Jollibee Chicken Joy Original, but it's not available, and the only flavor available is their spicy flavor, so I don't have a choice, even though I am not that good at eating spicy. But nevermind, it's a good thing that the Jollibee coffee float is already available here in this Jollibee branch, so we also bought some to try and compare it to Mc Donald's coffee float. So, for me, I like the Jollibee's coffee float because it is creamier than the Mc coffee float.
Then, after we ate, we decided to go home, and that's all for today. Thanks for your time reading!
