Kapitelplatz is a central and busy square in the centre of the old town of Salzburg. In one corner of the square is a large world ball topped by the figure of a man, and right next to it is a giant chessboard engraved in the ground, where chess fans gather to play games, sometimes with the participation of tourists visiting the city.
