El Castrero es un balneario ubicado en san Juan de los Morros muy famoso, donde muchas personas van a pasar un rato de diversión y diversión familiar, sin embargoel castrero tiene una cascada de agua muy conocida y temida ya que la fuerza del agua que parece indefensa socavo las piedras que están debajo de ella formando un vacío bajo las mismas y la fuerza del agua hace un remolino que lleva a las personas hacia abajo sin oportunidad de dar escape.
Este rio es muy conocido ya que queda muy cerca de la universidad Romulo Gallegos y muchos estudiantes foráneos se van a pasar sus fines de semana aquí, algunos hacen caso omiso de las advertencias que le hacen de que no se bañen en esa cascada y en las fotos que tomé pueden ver puntos rojos que señalan en número de personas que han fallecido por tirarse de esas piedras, yo conte mas de 20 puentos rojos que estan de lado y lado., esta fosa es profunda y tiene su misterio, pero además tiene rocas en las orillas que se ven bajo el agua.
Es la tercera vez que voy a este río solo a ver, nunca me he metido en esa posa y con tantas advertencias no quiero hacerlo, como dice la biblia " el sabio ve el mal y se aparta", aquí en este balneario hay un pequeño parque y pequeñas casitas para pasar el día con parrilleras mesas y asientos, celebran cumpleaños y pasan un día diferente, hay partes de este río que no son peligrosas ya que son llanas y nada profundas, pero la fosa es otra cosa, ya que cuando se han perdido vidas en ellelpara poder recuperar los cuerpos tienen que venir hasta buzos profesionales.
El lugar está bonito, limpio y bien cuidado, gasta pintado, me gusto mucho el letrero colorido en la entrada que dice en grande El Castrero, tambien tiene su peqjeño estacionamiento y hasta baños para hombres y mujeres, además también hay kioskos donde vendes sopas, comida los fines de semana, y un lugareño que le dimos la cola de bajada nos dijo que tambien los fines de swmana van carros tunning a y grupos de muchachos a bailar y poner música en ese lugar.
Al lado de las montañas hay unas escalinatas bastante amplias y subir por ellas me di cuenta que uno puede pasar detrás de las rocas, y encima de las rocas hay una cinta de esas que le ponen a los casos de crímenes para que las personas no pasen ya que muchos sobre rodo jovenes inventan subirse alli para lanzarse sobre las rocas, por eso tuvieron que recurrir a esa medida de poner esa cinta imaginó.
El chico que le dimos la cola es un muchacho estudiante de la Unerg y el vive allí y es de allí de la zona, el dijo que sus padres nunca lo han dejado bañarse allí, el sabe que es muy peligroso, eso nos dejó claro que los que se bañan en ese río no conocen el peligro que corren porque hasta niños el agua los ha arrastrado.

Next to the mountains there are some fairly wide steps, and as I was climbing them, I realized you can go behind the rocks. On top of the rocks there’s one of those ropes they put up at crime scenes to keep people from going through, since a lot of young people, in particular, like to climb up there and jump off the rocks that’s why they had to resort to putting up that rope, I suppose.
The guy we gave the tip to is a student at Unerg; he lives there and is from that area. He said his parents have never let him swim there he knows it’s very dangerous.
