The International Day of Friendship seeks to promote the role that friends play in our everyday lives.
Friends play a significant role in shaping our lives and I've witnessed that on several occasions.
Who is a friend? It is someone who isn't related to us by blood or even "water" but then we share an incredible bond, these sets of people make our existence worth it, these sets of people make every moment of our lives count.
Friends are people we share amazing times with, people who love us for our true nature, people we feel comfortable around, and people who support us during our times of ups and downs, they make it easier for us to navigate through those inevitable situations life throws at us, their supports is limitless and knows no bound.
To celebrate such amazing and selfless souls in my life, I made this craft to celebrate my friends for their constant and unending support and love, I feel grateful for the role they play in my life.
Materials used
Cardboard paper
Light paper
Correction pen
Scissors
Pencil
Top bond
Step one: I cut my cardboard into three A4 pieces then I folded it into a small piece and unfolded it again, after I folded it again, this time I did it by folding the back and front together.
Then I used my top gum to glue the edges.
I made two of them.
Step two: I brought out my light paper and drew small lines on it and used my scissors to cut out the line and folded it inwardly, then on the part I folded inward I drew another smaller line and cut it out again and folded it inwardly.
Step three: after that I wrote "Happy friendship day" on the part I carved out and folded inwardly, then on the top of the paper I drew some straight lines and drew the shape of a heart and used my red pen to shade it and it came out like this.
Step four: the third piece of the A4 I carved out from my cardboard, I placed my gum on it and placed the light paper that I used in making the write-ups and drawings on my cardboard, I placed the gum on both sides and it came out like this.
Step five: then after that I carved out three circle shapes on my light paper wrote "Happy Friendship Day" on each one and gummed it to my cardboard.
Then I used the correction pen to place some dots on the cardboard.
Step six: finally it was time to join the first cardboard paper I folded to my almost finished project, now for that part, I placed gum at the sides of my project and placed the first things I made on it and it came out looking like this.
