What happens when you close out a Thursday on the blockchain with some edibles and a couple IPAs?
A loaded Zeke who gets extra preachy with a #thoughtfuldailypost, as championed by the benevolent . No guarantees on the quality of the wisdom of the following trio of discussed sentiment.
Grab a beer and smoke'm if you gott'em!
Perseverance is Packaged with Failure
The easiest way I have found to battle my fear of failure is to fall back on the mantra, "You win or you learn." Also, playing Dungeons & Dragons presently, I know that Intelligence and Wisdom are mutually exclusive. Perhaps intelligence is a naturally developed aptitude, wisdom has an element of time to it. I remember a hockey friend, who now coaches the Israeli national team, telling me that a team has to lose together before you win together.
With those pieces in place, we can surmise that failure is an integral component of both success and wisdom. If that is the case, it would take a decent amount of perseverance and attitude to ever be in the position to succeed and become wise.
Let us fail our way to success and build perseverance into our character so that we can succeed.
Symbiosis
Maybe I am trying to pull out the obscure words like my longtime buddy and I am definitely departing from my journey as a recovering catholic with the source.
Rivers don't drink their own water, but many species absolutely depend upon it for basic survival. I suppose the trees benefit from their fruit in the event it drops down with the seed and decomposes to fertilize the soil for both. Regardless, our purpose, as we exist as this highly improbable combination of atoms, is simply defined by the effect we have on the other molecule collections.
If that effect happens to result in our personal happiness, these fleeting moments might simply fuel the spirit along our journey. When our happiness is drawn from that of others and that inspires us to make others happy, then we can turn adding moments of happiness to multiplying it by creating happiness in others.
I am also glad this latest in a long string of old white guys is less homophobic than his predecessors.
Live and Let Love
The word that pops out to me in that collection is "truth." If we consider that truth may be subjective and skewed by perspective, it might just help us ease up on people with different opinions. You can explain your views to someone but you cannot understand it for them.
Understanding may not happen over the short or even medium term but will happen rarely without compassion. It is easier to hate something than it is to love something but it is worth the effort. I am not sure it is necessarily a measurement of love, but compassion can only lead to understanding and potential enlightenment.
I know a few dumbasses that most likely think I am a dumbass. This is alright.
Be mindful with us and post your own #thoughtfuldailypost Tell
your buddy Zeke sent ya.
