Grow old with me, The best is yet to be.
42 years my friends!
It’s hard to believe we’ve been married that long. We’re both pretty blessed to have found one another. I can still picture the day he asked me to marry him…he had just graduated from college; I still had another year to finish. He didn’t want to leave! Of course I said yes!
Strawberry Crepes…
a perfect way to celebrate the day. You remember, I shared this recipe in my last post…[](https://steemit.com/powerhousecreatives/@birdsinparadise/healthy-eats-or-cacao-protein-
Pleased he was!
Time to hit the road to burn off a few of those calories! As we rode, I found myself smiling at the memories we share. We were young; he was 22 and I only 20 years old. Some said it would never last!
Faith and family…
has always been the glue. Trust, honesty and loyalty along with a lifelong commitment to one another, we believe in one another. Easy? Nope!
I was famished…
after our ride so we decided we would celebrate with a lunch date. We enjoy good Asian food so we’re always trying new spots to find the “perfect” chef. Mr. Bird had done his research and according good old “Yelp” the reviews were favorable! It was off the beaten path which was fine; hopefully we had found a diamond in the rough! Hunan Chinese Restaurant!
We were welcomed…
with cute décor, very clean and inviting! Since we arrived just after lunch hour there were just a few guests in the dining room.
Chinese Zodiac?
I was born in the year of the monkey, Mr. Bird the year of the horse. Evidently I am very intelligent and enthusiastic and he is attractive and impatient? What? We got quite a chuckle out of this, I must say we have both learned to work around our “differences” over the last 42 years. As they say, patience is a virtue! lol
Decisions, decisions…
we both knew what we wanted, I ordered General Tso’s chicken and he was excited to order Moo Goo Gai pan. Our Wonton soup arrived quickly! I have to say it was delicious.
Eggrolls next…
so fresh and hot! It gave us time to reminisce about the past 42 years, my how they fly. We have two amazing daughters with families and who knows what the future will bring.
General Tso..
Arrived and my goodness, definitely enough for two! They asked if I wanted spicy, well of course I do!
Moo Goo Gai Pan too!
Just what he ordered! Lets just say I was pretty lucky to get a picture!
What a wonderful meal and a beautiful day, celebrating 42 years with my husband, my best friend! As you know, we’ve traveled a lot of miles together and plan to travel many more! The best is indeed yet to be!
I think we’ve both agreed to Growing Old Together!
Thanks for stopping by today!
And as always, blessings to you all!
