There are few things that make a Friday more than knowing that you will be hitting the road out of town - it is like the ultimate weekend kickoff! lol - and today was one of those Fridays! Up early, packing bags and getting "road ready". This officially being our first weekend away with posh pup too lol - and we were armed well with towels because he has not adapted very well to the "smooth Mercedes ride" - like clock work, 40 minutes in and all the breakfast biscuits are re-invented haha!

The trip to my dads place is about 90 minutes so we decided to break the trip for all of us and have some "roadside munchies" - mostly because none of us had eaten lol! There are several roadside farm stalls along the way but were obviously on the lookout for one which would accommodate posh pup :) - We ended up at a really cool place called Peregrine - and yes, when I am not drinking wine, I am drinking water lol

We were literally there for nothing more than about 30 minutes (sadly) - grabbed a bite to eat, gave pup a chance to piddle and feel the earth under his feet to rid him of his car sickness lol and then we were back on our way - but I would definitely like to go back there again. I did not even get to explore the farmstall ffs lol...

Thankfully posh pup survived the rest of the trip in good tact lol :) When we got to my dads place, Jude was MIA in an instant as he went to change into boardies and hit the water! - Got to love kids and water ;) I was pretty keen to jump into that water too, only to realise that I had forgotten to pack my bikini lol!!!! sigh but in all honesty... as hot as I was, the water was VERRRRY chilly, despite being solar heated... the sun, is not that generous to those panels in Spring haha!

Swimming and unpacking done, it was chill time for ALL of us! Honestly, I could have curled up on the bed and slept for a good few hours, but moms don't get afforded such luxuries lol...

I managed to sneak a few minutes of magazine indulgence lol but then the resting were wide awake and it was play time and also time for me to prep the goods for dinner... which was a "BBQ" eeeeek yes Hive account@zord189, we had a barbeque not a braai hahaha ;)
