Get Pregnant? Eat More Fish
We know that eating fish is beneficial for your health. Previous research has been linked to better sea health, proper brain development, better mood, more seafood for increased immunity, and in one study it has also been found that the children who eat more fish get better grade. But a new study found that it could be easier for those smart children to get first place before eating seafood.
Studies published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism found that couples who consume more fish on a weekly basis are more likely to get pregnant. Researchers are linking the benefits of "long chain omega-3 fatty acids" to marine sources, and find that they are related to the high markers of fertility in both men and women.
According to The New York Times, researchers planned to have 501 pairs of pregnancy for one year. The couple kept the journal of their personal seafood and their sexual intercourse frequency. Home pregnancy tests were regularly administered. After one year, 92 percent of the fish eating at least two times a week became pregnant, while only 79 percent of those eating less than seafood became pregnant.
The study concluded that men eating at least two servings of fish per week were able to take up to 47 percent faster pregnancy, while women were 60 percent faster to conceive. When both partners consumed two servings of fish per week then 61 percent more pregnancy rate was higher.
Audrey J., a research associate of Harvard. Gaskin and Chief Writer Times said, "Seafood can help in semen quality, ovaries and other markers." "Or maybe these pairs are spending more time together. But if this fish is bringing them together, it is still a factor, though through a practical path, not biological one."
In addition to fertility, pairs where both partners had consumed at least two servings of fish per week, 22 percent of them had high mating frequency. The study is still associated with eating fish with pregnancy after the control of sexual intercourse.
