Bleak Models of US Earthquake, Solar Wind Watch | S0 News Oct.24.2017 ~
Solar flaring remains minimal but the early effects of the solar wind expected to arrive later today is beginning to be felt. No major earthquakes or volcanoes to note over the last 24-hours, but as Jupiter aligns on the other side of the Sun with Earth, its effect will be amplified. Several interesting studies are discussed; the most relevant one concerning the Pacific Northwestern coast of the United States with predictions of the potential of earthquake damage along the offshore Cascadia Subduction Zone.
