For real, my bio says it all "Sort of Prepper"... I like to be prepared for some stuff without being paranoid or doomsday-ish.... Although, I mean, society could kind of use a reset button the way things are going, but I digress....
Today I'll show you how I store some stuff I need relatively often, but not all the time... I hope you're ready because it's really groundbreaking!
Yup... Plastic "shoebox" containers. I told you it was revolutionary!
The 3 pictured there are my "MacGyver" box, my "let there be light" box, and my "I will CUT you" box...
The MacGyver box has a cornucopia of bits-and-bobs for replacing buckles or buttons or what have you, to Velcro, to zip ties, to some small carbineer type things. All it's missing is duct tape and that's strategically stashed all over the house!
The "let there be light" box is a little more cohesive. Chemlights, candles, batteries, matches, etc live there. Way better than digging through a junk drawer when the power goes out!
The " I will CUT you" box also sticks to a pretty singular theme, knives and things to make knives sharp! There's even a tomahawk head in there that I need to get around to making a handle for... Very exciting, I know!
Very earth shattering stuff here, so I understand if you need to take a breather before going on...
These boxes aren't anything special and probably not even the best solution, but they've made it a little easier for me to keep track of some of this stuff instead of it all just living in a drawer with other random junk... And for my #steemsilvergold friends these make excellent storage options for metals while they're in the safe or stored elsewhere!
