The majority of Filipinos have spoken...on May election this year, they voted for President Duterte for his promise of cleaning the country of drug-related crimes. In his speeches in the past few weeks, names of government officials who were and still are protecting drug-lords were televised nationwide.
If before he have made some enemies as a very strict Mayor in Davao, a town in Southern Philippines, where he implemented drug & order...it is more so now, for not only are the drug-users, pushers and drug-lords, but also some top government officials who are protecting the said drug-lords. Here we are talking about millions of Pesos each month as pay-outs.
WAR ON DRUGS
Surely, if there's a war, there will be casualties?? Before he took office, he already warned anyone that have anything to do with drugs to stop or else. By empowering the police force and involving the military, his implementation of his war on drugs is showing results. For his enemies, they are now using the number of deaths as extra judicial killings (EJK), including the unexpected deaths to impeach him. It is widely known that these drug-lords are causing a lot of deaths to those who can reveal them to the police..the drug-pushers.
PROTECTING THE DRUG-LORDS
A lot of people are not very happy. Unbelievably, some are the top officials of the country...his new 'enemies'. Power & money, why else would they want to impeach him? There is now an ongoing enquiry using the extra judicial killings to bring him down, " with the country's vice president ready to take his place" ??? This is the other plan of a political party that is being talked about by Filipinos around the globe. They are desperate to carry their plans.
HOPE FOR THE COUNTRY
Ever since his war on drugs started, I can see hope for the people and the country. For more and more govt officials are being named by witnesses. Places are being raided that are making and supplying drugs, one being the biggest in the country. Who would have thought that even the country's biggest prison is a den of drugs? That our previous president and a member of the senate were captured mingling with a convicted drug-lord in prison? Photos were shown in an exposé in the lower court enquiry of a senator's involvement as a protector.
I have mentioned in a previous blog before about those 700 thousand on drugs who have volunteered for rehab...this week, recent news have reported 2 rehabilitation centers that are ready for occupancy. It's getting better and better.
Mabuhay Mr. President!!
