I got my new printer in and have been trying to tweak it and dial it in. Having a problem I can't seem to resolve but otherwise, I am getting fantastic prints.
One of the greatest torture tests of a 3D printer is the 3D Benchy. It is a well designed 3D model that has been professionally designed with difficult attributes to print on a 3D printer. It is also a very cool looking model and fun to print in many different colors. For many people, it is the first print they do, if not it usually the 20mm calibration cube.
This is my first print, while very nice, I am a big fan of go big or go home.
This would have been a really great print for time-lapse, but unfortunately, I don't have the mount required for this printer printed out.
Since we all printing money with the current SBD prices, I figured I'd do so as well.
There is another model I like to print out when testing things. It has similar demands of the benchy and instead of a 2 hour or so print, it is only 18 minutes.
I tend to print little Marvin a lot, as my son wants it in every color I own. I also did the go big or go home with Marvin.
My son has already claimed the boat for himself. :(
Looks like I'll be printing another soon. Maybe I'll go bigger!
