Is there a reasonable expectation of privacy and self-driving vehicles?
Self-Driving vehicles will have 8-10 external cameras, radar, lidar amongst a host of other sensors. Internal sensors will either monitor driver behavior or collect data for analytics.
Routes, trip start, and trip destination will be known to the planning algorithm. Any passengers will be recorded and tracked as well.
Can we really have self-driving functionality coupled with reasonable expectations of privacy?
Or will our definitions of privacy evolve as technology progresses and there is a deeper understanding of the privacy risks?
