Trump administration setup a website called Don't Touch The Green Button.
Right at the top of the website they promise not to disclose any information unless required by law.
What little did they know, the site is a colossal security disaster. First they are using auto fill for the name field so voters can easily find their name and that of anyone else they want to.
A few individuals in the security sector decided to do some testing on how many names they could gather. With a simple script they were able to grab the first 5,000 names including addresses.
Digging further the site is vulnerable to security injection allowing the entire database to be downloaded including name, address, date of birth, and last four social security, and phone numbers.
The level of incompetence with voters personal information is staggering. Rest assured though, information will only be provided unless required by law!
One Reddit user dug up an Arizona law stating "A person in possession of information derived from voter registration forms or precinct registers shall not distribute, post or otherwise provide access to any portion of that information through the internet."
This website provides easy access to Arizona voter information for anyone who wants it, in an easy to use format on the Internet.
If that wasn't enough, a simple scan of the website security practices using Mozilla's Observatory service the website is rated F.
