Donkey and sponge basket A merchant, guiding his donkey to pass a shallow river. When the trader finally managed to bring his donkey and his cargo to the river safely, most of the salt loaded by the donkey had melted and dissolved into the river water. Glad to feel that the load has diminished so that the burden is brought to light, the Donkey was very happy when they continued their journey.
The next day, the Trader returned with salt. The Donkey remembered her experience yesterday when it slipped in the middle of the river, intentionally allowing her to slip into the water, and eventually she could reduce her burden back in that way.
Frustrated merchants then bring the donkey back to the market, where the donkey is loaded with huge baskets and contain sponges. When they came back in the middle of the river, the donkey returned by deliberately dropping, but when the merchant took him to the river, the donkey became very uncomfortable because he had to drag himself home with a load ten times heavier than before due to the sponge it loads absorb the river water.
