macrophotography adalah sebuah foto dengan jarak dekat untuk mendapatkan sebuah detail yang tinggi namu tidak memerlukan bantuan alat pembesar optik. rasio fotografimacro yaitu 1:1 besar gambar yang di hasilkan sama ukuran aslinya.lensa harus dapat fokus pada area sekecil 24×36 mm. yaitu ukuran pada film.
