Hey Hive account@starkerz great to hear whats going on with Promo Steem! Looks like your making some huge leaps and bounds, keep it up! In response to the suggestion with on a open mic-night, why not try and work with student/club promoters and set up weekly nights under the Promo Steem name? If successful, It would gan huge traction and you would be able to promote the work you do on a weekly basis to huge numbers. I personally feel 'open-mic' nights don't bring in the same numbers as club nights. The first event you would have to hold would require some investments - but if successful it can practically pay for itself.
