Good morning guys, this is Hive account@bait002 the founder of the offline minnow school where minnows are mentored and groomed. In this post, I will be talking about an important component you need to add to the quality of your blog.

Over and over I've seen steemians make one major mistake that redefines and undermines the totality of their efforts. That mistake is none other than the fact that most think that content supersedes community when in fact it is the community that supersedes the quality of the contents we put up here.

One of the most fundamental lessons I learnt from Hive account@ejemai during the time when I first met him was the importance of community over content. In his words,

steemit isn't about what we write really, it is about the community that appreciates your work.

Contents exist for community not community existing for content

We have to be good with community. That means that, in our quest trying to be good content creators, we must not allow ourselves to be carried away by the prowess of our intellectual works forgetting that contents don't read themselves. Hence, we have to make every effort to see that we have around our contents a community that willingly engages with it.

Effort put in is always proportional to effort put out. That's one other lesson I learnt from Hive account@ejemai. He would say; you cant get out anymore than you have put in.

If you care to make that difference with your blog, you have to appreciate the fact that;

you may not need anybody to create quality content, but you sure need them to read it for you.

The thrill of fulfillment for every writer comes in the fact that you have an audience who actually appreciates them. And that will be quite impossible if you fail to engage. Simply put, engagement is reciprocal on steemit!

Make a commitment to meet the needs of other content creators within your community and never look down on any. Thank you, I'm gladly bringing you word from the offline minnow school.

For those who seek to know what this project is all about, you can read that below;

PHASE 1:

At this stage we teach some minnows at our offline classroom to help attain self-sustenance. These minnows will then work with us as a team, reproducing other minnows. Currently, we have just wrapped up with Phase 1. And Phase 2 which is more demanding kicked off already.

PHASE 2:

This basically is the core of the vision is to raise steem-backed entrepreneurs of young people. The method through which we execute the absolute idea goes as follows;

• SKILL ACQUISITION PROJECTS: where various skills will be taught to foster the emergence of new entrepreneurs that thrive on voluntarism.

• THE MINNOW SCHOOL TALENT HUNT: we greatly hope to give minnows who are not really writers but have other gifts such as singing, painting, dancing, acting a platform to express themselves and get their creativity beyond their minds. Basically, we are giving these young people a voice and ultimately awaken the writer in them.

• THE MINNOW SCHOOL ART/MUSIC EXHIBITIONS: here talented young people will get to showcase their talents and the value they have to offer to the community. We will be sponsoring art projects and professional music careers will emerge with this.
