I was having my vacation last saturday, when the co-leaders of the
announced that we will be having an Open Discussion in Teenvestors Discord Channel on 9pm (that day). I was worried for I am not sure if I can participate the said event. Inspite of being in Dalaguete province; Staying the night in the hill; Slowness of the cignal, I managed to join the event.

First Open Discussion
It started 9pm, Saturday April 14. The activity started with Opening Prayer through an accompaniment following the guidelines and rules of the discussions for a smooth exchanging of ideas.
Introduction
We participants were given enough time to discuss these following topics:

How did you know about steemit?
"My classmatehave told me about earning money by posting blogs. She knew my skills and passion. Her sister

as well encouraged and invited me. Then I have registered and approved"
What are your main reasons of joining Steemit?
"I joined steemit because I want to earn money. I want to share my skills and talents in writing. I want my talents and skills to improve and to be appreciated. I want to find my passion. I want to learn more things."
Discussion
Since it is an open discussion, all of the members who have joined were given time to speak. The following are the topics that members have talk about yesterday:
Who are the people that you have been following and how they have contributed a lot to your steemit journey?
How did you achieve your high reputation?
How did you come up with such amount of Steem Power?
When would be the best time to power up?
How helpful or unhelpful bid bots and when would be the best time to bid?
What are the roles of witnesses in the platform?
Importance of Engaging in the Community.
Importance of Comments with substance.
Advantages and Disadvantages of Resteeming.
What are the future plans of steemit cebu leaders to the community?

Since I am still a newbie and doesn't have the enough knowledge to join the discussions. I was just sitting, listening to the other member's discussion and just asking questions in things that I haven't properly understand.
The Open Discussion adjourned at around 12:15 am of April 15, 2018.
Project Initiation
Let us all remember that Teenvestors is not built to mainly promote our posts. This is also one way of connecting to OUR COMMUNITY. We want our Discord Channel as lively as possible that is the reason why we have initiated this project.
In addition, we also want to help each Cebuano Steemians as much as we can do. Since, we are still drafting our possible project Weekly Small Team/Group Meet-up,
With the establishment of this activity and of more activities, we are hoping to come up with a sustainable and firm Cebu Steemit Community.

Everyone is invited to participate in the upcoming STEEMSUMMIT which will be held on April 22, 2018, Sunday at ASPACE CEBU Crossroads, Cebu City from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. This event aims to further the reach of the platform by spreading it to more people. In addition, it will also showcase the diversity of Cebuano talents, promote Steemit to non-Steemians, instil in Steemians a deeper sense of community, and solidify the presence of the Cebuano community in Steemit.

Words of Gratitude
I would like to thank the co-leaders of the Teenvestors who initiate the activity. To the other participants who have shared their experiences, advices and opinions. I have gained more knowledge about here in steemit. It was fun being with other Cebu steemians; 
It was tough and intense though because that day (Sunday April 15) is the schedule of our trek to Osmeña Peak. I slept 12:30 am and woke up 2:45 am (same day). So I thank myself as well for having enough strength to attend, participate and manage my time inspite of many reasons.
To other Cebuano Steemians who were not able to catch up with the First Open Discussion, you are still invited to join our Second Open Discussion. I hope you are able to join the Second Open Discussion soonest, it's really fun to be with other steemians in the community. You can also learn more things and ask some questions.
