Just like we enjoy the sunlight, we have all been enjoying the beauty that the steem blockchain brings. There is so much goodies here even more than we can ever imagine. For that reason, everyone here has that internal zeal and willingness to share knowledge about steem and steemit to the whole wide world.
Even without being given a referral bonus, the joy flows out from within to others. On the 10th of February we are going to take steemit to the masses in Enugu - Coal City. These people have probably never heard about it in their entire life. So it will be a thing of joy to introduce them to it.
WHAT ARE OUR GOALS?
GENERAL
- To take Steemit to the South-Eastern part of Nigeria
- To connect people and their cultures to the blockchain
- To provide alternative sources of income to the masses
- To reduce the scourge of unemployment in the nation
- To help youths get on a path of self-discovery
SPECIFIC
- To give a seminar/ lecture about the blockchain and how to make use of it
- To create a live question & answer forum for the blockchain
- To connect steemit mentors and newbies for longterm sustainable relationships
- To enhance the onboarding of new steemians
- To increase community participation by giving members a sense of belonging
- To decentralize the offline
VISION
This promotion project keys into the #Project20MillionNaija goals by @Stach.
Stach is short for STeem ACcelerator Hubs.
Its an offline Steem blockchain poised with the desire to decentralize the offline ably headed by @Ejemai
In order to bring 20 Million Nigerians to invest and create valuable content on steemit, all the parts of the country has to be involved.
There has been Meet-Ups to this end in;
- The Western Nigeria- Steemit In Nigeria Event, Steem-Lagos Meetups etcz
- The Northern Nigeria- Steemup Kaduna championed by @Michealcj
- The Southern Nigeria- Steemup Delta (Xmas Meetup) by @Tojukaka and @Destinysaid
- The South-Southern Nigeria- New Offline Hub Launch/Meetup by @Ejemai and @Samstickkz
NOW We are aiming for the South-Eastern Nigeria!
THE TEAM BRINGING THIS TO YOU!
Though I have attended a couple of meetups in Nigeria, it will not be special to me like this one. You know why?
- First, I am an integral part of the organization of this meetup
- Secondly, The Coal City is my state of origin so I will really love to go back home and make things happen.
The other personalities who are working very hard to bring this to fruition include

BASED ON LOGISTICS
To plan a grand event of this nature, we will definitely need to involve alot of persons in planning and execution. Apart from human resources, the material resources include;
- A rented Hall with University Of Nigeria, Enugu Campus.
- Public Address system.
- Projector for power-point presentations.
- Flyers, Handbills, Posters & Billboards.
- Publicity via Steemit, Local blogs, Local Radio (Lion Fm), Facebook Page Ads etcz.
- Mass sensitization Campaigns for students in UNEC CAMPUS.
- A light refreshment for invited guests and steemit newbies
- An account that can delegate SP to new members via SteemInvite for quick account creation.

OTHER FACTORS CONSIDERED
- Location! Location!! Location!!!: Ever wondered why we chose a University Campus? Well the answer is a bit obvious. We want to reach out to students and get them fully involved in making this a reality.
- Date & Time: We chose a Saturday which will be a free time for most persons (Students & Staff). Also it will be the 2nd Saturday of the month of February (Mid-month) which is fair enough for preparation.
Many people will kick off about an hour to midday for compliance sake. - Easy To Find: the Hall will be in the heart of the school which is itself in the center of Enugu City!
NEED I SAY MORE?
I think I have already penned most of the logistics we will consider to make this programme one of the most effective meetups in Nigeria So far, so good!
