Hi steamians,
How are we today? I am updating about my #promo-steem South Africa. I have been very busy lately but I still try to #promo-steem everywhere I go. have promoted to many people around me and some have register and some are still waiting to due to one thing or the other. (They are in the best position to say what is delaying them.)
I hope it won't be too late for them to realize the golden opportunity.
This time around, I did something different. I went to a saloon specifically to meet ladies there. That is the best place where you will see ladies gathered together.
I approached one of them and saying my jargon to her but I make sure I was speaking loudly for others to hear me.
Then it boom.
They all started to ask me question on steemit. One of the lady ask me if she can see it on Facebook and I told her to try it. (she only believe things exist if it is on Facebook). Then she start to register at the spot. I wanted to take her picture but She did not want. She said:
I will allow you to take my picture only when I am approved and start blogging.
When she said that, other too were not ready to take any picture.
I did not want to say anything more about that so that they won't think I am finding something else from taking their pictures. I was thinking also that the main thing is for them to join the platform not that picture they did not allow me to take.
After explaining what steemit is too them, some of the stylist were asking me
What if I join and I put my creation and other learn it from there? I don't want a situation of such.
Then I replied to her and said:
You know what, since you have put your creation then people will definitely learn how to do it but it's a good thing that people are making use of your creation. Even if they are making use of the process, since it's a good post, you will earn for it and in another words, you have been paid for putting the post there. So it's not a lose.
If you say no then people outside will still learn it in onw way or the other and they start to do you and that will not bring any gain for you.
I continue to answer different questions from them and they were like;
I think I am going to join
Well let's see how it's going to go
I will join when I get my data
I will join when I see a result from my friend
I have join now, I will let you know on whatsapp what is going on
and so on.
I gave some of them a pieces of paper that have steemit.com on it(those that were not with their phones) and some put it on their browser directly for them to remember.
I later took a picture of the saloon but only few were present in it.
There were three guys there; the barber and a client and another guy who followed his girl to the saloon but they did not even show any interest.
I am planning to go to other saloon soon and I want to also visit the university of pretoria but I won't be able to do so on my own for now. I will be looking out for those that will join me to go there. I know it's going to be a big one.
