Votes are like Oxygen to the #Steemit Community
Spreading the love to 29 friends per day on #Steemit
A while ago I made the conscious decision to reduce my self-voting down to under 25% in an attempt to spread the love on #Steemit.
Over the last few weeks I have improved on that by bringing it down to under 20% and boy does it make me feel good.
Oxygen to the #Steemit Community
It should come as not great surprise to regular readers of my Blog and to those that know me very well, #Steemit is a long term Project for me.
From the outset of joining in August 2016, I have said all along that #Steemit is a Project that I intend to spend at least a minimum of at least 5-7 years on.
After 18 months of blogging to #Steemit, I have decided it will now be over 10 years..!!
For me, #Steemit is more than a Blogging Site or Ecosystem, it has become part of my journey in life and for this I am eternally grateful to have met some amazing and talented individuals on this journey.
Scalability of the #Steemit Platform
One thing I am a strong believer in is the potential scalability of the #Steemit Platform, but for me there has to be a recognition of the importance of the Voting Distribution.
I guess the best way to put it is that Votes are like oxygen to the #Steemit Community..!!
Without the correct Voting Distribution my biggest fear is that it has the potential to starve the exponential growth of the Community.
My simple 40:15:15:15:15 voting plan
Over the last few weeks I have adopted a simple 40:15:15:15:15 voting plan which simply means I give myself a 40% self-vote and distribute the remaining 60% across 4 other Bloggers.
It is this distribution of votes that I strongly encourage other high vested account holders to consider adopting.
Voting pattern picked up by Matt @Starkerz
This voting pattern I have adopted was recently picked up by Matt @Starkerz who asked if I could share with him the reasoning behind what I was doing so that he could share it with the Community.
For the ones who may have missed the short video Matt posted, here is another chance to see the call.
