Preamble:
Steemit has transformed my life since I came in contact with the platform by enabling me to express my feelings, add positive value to the lives of people and to recover from financial struggle.
This has made me more passionate about the platform that I had to make it a responsibility to promote the platform to every literate individual in my sphere of influence who is in financial bondage so as to help them become financially independent. For instance, in Nigeria, 2019 is when a new administration will be elected into office ranging from state to federal level and a large proportion of youth who aren’t financially independent will be paid by some corrupt politicians to engage in electoral violence. If I can promote Steemit to a large proportion of the youth (also with the help of other steemians in my sphere) to create content and earn from Steemit so as to become financially independent, it will help reduce the rate of election violence in Nigeria come 2019.
SteemWarAgainstPoverty (SWAP) Project:
This project was been initiated by in a bid to eradicate poverty using Steemit as a platform through its promotion and provision of alms to the every society the project penetrates of which I am a partner.

Today and myself (
) kicked started the project through a viral promotion of Steemit on some streets of Uyo where we reached out to over 1,000 individuals of the estimated 427,873 total human population of Uyo.
Promotion Tool:
In reaching out to over 1,000 individuals we made use of the following as promotion tool;
Branded Polo-Shirt
2,000 printed copies of flyers with a space provided for bio-data.

Follow Up Plan:
Since it was a street campaign, we initiated a follow up mechanism by getting the name and phone contact of individuals we reached out to using the space provided for bio-data on the flyers.

Also, contained on the promotion flyer is an invite to a workshop, which those reached individuals should attend where we can get to interact with them and tell them more thing they need to know about Steemit, as well get them registered.

The workshop takes place on 10th February, 2018 at the Uyo steem accelerator hub provided by .
Beyond Street Viral Promotion:
One unique feature about the promotion was that myself ( ) and
promoted Steemit in 150 rooms of 2 hostels in the University of Uyo campus reaching out to 123 students.
Results:
Based on the promotion work, we got 17 individuals registered new account on Steemit which are awaiting approval of their Steemit account and we project to register over 200 individuals during the workshop invite scheduled for 10th February, 2018.
Future Projection:
We project the following short and long term goals;
- Providing alms to under-privilege individuals living in under-privilege communities where the SWAP will penetrate.
- Replication of the promotion on the streets of Aba, Calabar, Onitsha, Benin and the street of other places in Nigeria, Africa and other third world countries at large.
