Hello Hive friends and readers. I sit here today wondering how I wish I had more time to accomplish many more things. Most days to me start as quick as they end. We sometimes do things that don't allow us to multitask to save time.
I work a full-time job and have a part-time job. I'm a bread winner and the only working person in my household. I cook and clean in the household because my wife is disabled. I'm also the only one who can drive in the household. I'm a basketball dad to my son who plays year around. Also I'm a blogger here and on another website.
What if we could stop time
I think about this from time to time. I like the idea to receive a power from above where I could stop time by just saying, "Stop." Maybe a simple word such as go to continue time. My mind is foggy but I think I remember watching an Alfred Hitchcock movie or show where the character had a device to stop time. When he used it everything and everyone was frozen still.
The things we can do
There are endless thoughts on what I could use it for. One of the first thoughts is to catch up on sleep. Though I don't think I would use it when I'm actually sleeping. Maybe pause doing some choirs and such than take a power nap afterwards. I could see myself napping alongside my English Bull Dog, haha.
Another thing is to get somewhere on time. How many times are we in a hurry to get somewhere? Imagine just taking your time to get ready and driving somewhere with no worries.
Perhaps on the job to meet a deadline. No more crunch time and the boss hounding you for something. You could easily have the best productivity and not worry about other distractions. Have to be a little careful your not getting paid when the time is paused and how much do you really want to spend at work 😂
Imagine using it to save yourself or someone else from being in harms away. We could all be heroes. One would have to be careful to not freak someone out though. If your a robber with a gun I applaud the idea of them wondering where the hell did the gun go, hehe. Maybe a couple of slaps across the face as well.
Things of caution
As much as it would seem to be great to have these powers there is the possibility of some evils and some physical changes that may happen. I'm going to sound like Uncle Ben from Spiderman for second. With great power comes great responsibility. Yes I believe if we obtained this power we have a duty to act morally.
So stopping at the bank to make a withdrawal of money that is not yours is a no. Don't think that trading your vehicle in for free is acceptable either. Also causing hectic situations or afflicting harm to others should absolutely not be considered.
Physical changes can happen if abused. Think about it, if you stop time too much your getting oldier while everything else is freezed in time. One would have to use it sparingly. Who wants to look 40 when your 30? Can you imagine your friends thinking that you have aged abnormally quick? I wouldn't want any of that.
After thoughts
It would be an awesome power to pocess if used correctly. My mind has many more advantages to use this for:) One would need to have discipline though. There are many more evils that this power could be misused for. How about you, what would you use this power to do?
