Here in Greece there are these lottery tickets (we call them "lacheia" from the ancient greek verb λαγχάνω= obtain by lot (from the gods, fate e.t.c.)) which draw once a week.
Τhe winner can win up to millions of euros depending on the numbers drawn and the jackpots.
(Although usually few are lucky, because most get %#@*$!$&)
But it is customary to buy lotteries during the Christmas holidays. In fact, there are many special editions with many, many money waiting to be won by someone. There is the Christmas edition, the New Year's edition and many others.
Every family in Greece buys at least one of each edition for every member as a gift. Usually these come in pentads and you can get either all five pieces or one, two etc. You will ask me: Why should anyone get the same number? Because if you have all five pieces of a pentad, you will get the whole amount. Otherwise you will get 1/5, 2/5 of the sum etc.
So this year I also bought lottery tickets for each member of the family. And not just that. I bpught one from all the versions that were released ...
The result? I spent about 70 euros, bought 5 different lottery tickets and the only one that won is the one in the photo ...
And how much did i get?
The astronomical amount of 10 euros. (2Χ5 = 10)
Talk about luck!
Conclusion: If you ask me, will I do it again: The answer is one:
YES!!! But I hope to be luckier next time.
See you!
