Max niceblood, dangerous wilderness and more fire
Down on the coast of the Farmers Coast is the Lighthouse of Firerock, long since used to help explorers and instead, now housing evil.
An Entropist was doing some enchanting at the Arcane Enchanter he had setup with his bed and campfire, not expecting a sneak attack from a sinister villain that wouldn't care if he killed him. That is exactly what happened, a sneak attack with help from his summoned Oorbaya and Unlucky Vagrant, making the Entropist pay for not keeping an eye or ear out for any intruders.
"Feels good to slay the dark magic users with my own hands and evil motives. Well not let me take a look at what loot he has here..." said Octharg as he rummaged through the Entropists belongings and took the fancy armour on top of the crate as well. Most of the items were of great value and he had previously looted from other locations, so it was great to find additional items to sell.
"Now to deal with Ark's Last Watch and find Max Niceblood since he has a bounty on his head and I am here to collect it."
Outside in the courtyard sort of ruined area were multiple marauders and bandits as is common for a lot of places hiding bounty targets that want the extra protection. At this point in time they just get destroyed when the summons take the damage and deal their own back, while Octharg keeps blasting mainly fire right now, but still going back to Life Absoprtion and staves if need be. So they were all taken out before heading to one side of the broken fort to clear it, then to the Max Niceblood side.
In the opposite sides tower, waiting and relaxing were a Marauder and Bethula. The magic damage from Bethula was aimed at the Oorbaya so it made the fight simple enough and only two people isn't hard to defeat, unless if the main one is quite strong.
When over inside the other tower it turned out Max Niceblood had already left and left a note for Octharg. It went on to tell about the reason for the bounty and left some compensation for his troubles but he had already disappeared far away so he couldn't be found.
"Seemed like a nice guy to just compensate me for the trouble I went through, maybe he was right about that woman" thought Octharg before looting what was left for him.
In the wilderness for the Farmer's Coast roams some interesting and dangerous creatures. Some of which include the Goldenforst Matriarch but this isn't the first time Octharg has run into it, so he knew fire would tear it apart.
Among them was something deadlier which was the Pus Beetle and its deadly acid spit which has proved difficult in the previous encounters a while back now.
So Octharg was having to stand back while using a staff in each hand to burn all the creatures and let the Oorbaya go in, slam the ground to deal great damage while getting some hits taken to protect our villain and ensure he stays alive long enough to finish off each enemy.
Just as he thought it couldn't get any worse, after taking some time to walk around and explore, just up a hill was a Wild Mage with Elementals of Fire, Ice and Mud which was going to be a tough fight but possible if he stuck back.
With a staff of fireball in both hands, his Oorbaya and Unlucky Vagrant rushing up to attack and absorb damage, the fight was underway. First to go was the Wild Mage that had been bombarded with explosions and died rapidly, then one by one, each elemental was taken out and surprisingly these staves make tough fights like this to be easy.
"Maybe I should go visit some towns and places sometime soon and finally achieve my goal since I have grown so much stronger now" said Octharg as he gained level 27.
Last stop before a final marketplace run in Ark was to take out the Hermit Cave Wild Mages that had claimed it as their base.
One death was had in this location which was unfortunate due to being reckless and the damage from the three Wild Mages and the Fire Elemental. Luckily next time, it just took the Oorbaya soaking the damage up like always and getting his own magic onto the Wild Mages, then victory was achieved quickly and easily.
This was part 29 in a series accompanying Octharg The Destroyer on his journey to regain his lost power and become the destroyer he once was.
Stay tuned for part 30 and see what befalls our villain. This will hopefully be the last post in the series where Octharg finally reaches the goal he has been working hard towards all this time!
