We live NOW, HERE.
Our needs are few, individually. Why do we allow others to go without?
We live less than 100 years, the Earth has been here nearly 5 BILLION years. We belong to the Earth. There are TREES that live ten times as long as we do, yet we cut them down to make paper for our ephemeral, fictional business “needs.” The entire modern era, since the first printing press perhaps, is a blink of an eye within Earth’s sense of time… and yet, how many species have ceased to exist in that short time?
LIFE is REAL - direct experiences of love, taste, touch, smell, sight, sounds. Interestingly, we experience things in contexts which do not allow us to individually OWN the experience unto ourselves. We are a pattern simultaneously occurring to and being created by all things animated by LIFE, by energy itself.
We have ignored, suppressed, and eradicated ANY culture who lived in harmony with Earth, rather than OWNing the Earth. Our remaining indigenous beings are no longer silent about what government and economy are doing, ultimately by assuming we can OWN any part of the Universe.
Even our bodies are on loan - they will wear out and continue the life cycle as fertilizer for plants and food for worms. Yet, even in DEATH, we hermetically seal our bodies away from the Earth, not even allowing the ashes to ashes, dust to dust cycle to complete.
We cannot OWN LIFE, or insure it. We can only honor, protect, and LET IT LIVE THROUGH US.
The Earth is LIFE; without the growing season and our animal brethren, we would not have this LIFE to live.
Our tools, clothing, shelters, and other personal belongings are extensions of the self - as our creation of or perceived enhancement of our individuality. As such, they should be crafted in a way that lasts a lifetime, using resources far more efficiently while providing each person a life of high quality and luxury.
With the pace of life so fast these days, we should KNOW that you can't own anything that is fleeting by nature.
We need to shift our paradigm to one of cooperation, collaboration, and peaceful relations…
Ownership of ANYTHING is an illusion.
