, I want to be honest. I came into this post ready to share my opinion, but I left with a lot more respect than I had at first.
I have been on Hive for about a year now. During that time, I have seen how this ecosystem works who shows up, who disappears, and who quietly does the work that keeps everything running without looking for recognition. From my perspective, you clearly belong in that last category.
I think the debate in the comments is actually good. The concerns may not be wrong, but a community that asks tough questions about its own treasury still cares. Right now, Hive needs more caring, not less.
What strikes me most is this: you did not make this proposal when times were good, when it would have passed easily. You made it now at a time everyone agrees is tough and you still intend to keep going. That is not the behavior of someone trying to take value. That is the behavior of someone who is fully committed.
As for whether 90,000 HBD is the right number, timing, or structure, I will leave that to those with more experience on the chain than I have. But the value of this kind of work? I don’t think that is up for debate.
I hope the community finds a way to make this work. People like you cannot be replaced by a bot or a budget line.
Thank you for writing this so honestly. It took courage.
